We ordered our generator in November,and it was back-ordered until March. We were pleasantly surprised that the delivery was moved up to early January. We sent a check which entitled us to a discount, although we had to wait until the check cleared before it could be shipped. Tracking the order was easy, and the delivery company, R&L Trucking, was very professional, gave us a delivery window and was right on time and very courteous and brought it right into our garage. Our only problem is with the generator itself; it does not start properly, there seems to be something wrong with the spark plug. Electric Generators Direct gave me the number for customer service at Generac, and we are dealing directly with them to get this problem resolved.

Those guys remove or refuse to publish negative reviews on their website. I wrote negative review about B & S 5500 Watt generator pointing on discrepancies in their product description, manufacturer website and actual product with actual links and document references. I gave genset 2 out of 5 stars but review was never published.

This is very bad practice as they essentially hide negative information from customers.

For the most part the website was very easy to use and had important information in an easy to find and read format. My only issue was that despite repeated assurances that my generator had already been put on the truck and shipped, it arrived three days later than when it was supposed to. I payed for two day rush delivery and it arrived in six days. Unfortunately, I was out of power, heat, water etc. for all of those days (plus the three days prior to my order). Nonetheless, once it arrived it was in good condition and a welcome sight!

I knew this was backordered but now again delayed to 11/23/11,I suspect r/t all the power outages in the north east.I used email to contact as the phone lines are so busy that I cant get thru at any time and have to work so cant hold on for hour. My first order back in june came within 3 days ,is a great buy on a full house generator and service was excellent.

Tracking required me to call the carrier. When I did, they didn't provide any help because "the item was not loaded in the system yet". A few days later,I received a call from them telling that the delivery would be on a certain date and time. No big deal, but the tracking system was not on line. What may have caused this minor problem was that I indicated that I would be away from home for a week and that I could not take delivery between certain date. But otherwise, everything went fine.
