BEWARE OF LIES!!!!!

On Monday, March 2nd, I ordered a Pioneer Kuro plasma, I was asked if I wanted to pay an extra $72 in order to have my order expedited and delivered within 4 to 8 business days, I agreed.  Two hours after the whole transaction was completed I get a call that my Amex card was being rejected, I told them it was impossible to try again, they said it was rejected again.  I contacted Amex and they confirmed that NOTHING had come thru from them, I actually had Amex call them with me on the line and they were in fact putting it through incorrectly, Amex walked them thru it.  I never heard anything again, no email, no receipt, no shipping info.  I called Friday, March 6th, 4 business days after order was placed and already within the time frame of the early delivery date. I wanted information to track it.  I was in not very polite terms told that I was being impatient and that the delivery company would contact me.  I asked if the item had shipped and I was told "yes, absolutely."  Still not having heard anything I called again the following Wednesday, March 11th.  Again, my order had shipped and I should hear very shortly from the shipper, but they could not give me any shipping info.  Today, Thursday March 12th, still not having heard anything and this being the 8th business day, so delivery should have happened by now, I called again and very clearly stated that if I was not given definite shipping/delivery info I was going to cancel the order.  At this point I was told that it will be delivered March 18th.  Order was placed on the 2nd and I had been urged to pay extra for "expedited" delivery I reminded the gentlemen.  He told me that the problem was that the TV, being in VERY HIGH DEMAND, had to come from the West Coast (at time of order I CLEARLY ASKED IF IT WAS IN STOCK AND WAS TOLD YES!).  So, I asked what about the extra 72 dollars for a delivery that did not occur in the "expedited" period.  Well, after a long attempt by the agent to try and get me to convert the extra fee to cables or power supplies, none of which I wanted I was told I would be credited $50 dollars, for "after all, its still a better delivery method." 

Let's see what happens but I assure you that my next purchase WILL NOT BE with these guys, the clearly lied and misrepresented the situation.  I think the expedited fee is an attempt to either just pocket the difference or sell you more items.

UPDATE: The day after the above post was posted I was contacted by EcomElectronics...they apologized and said that the $50 bucks was for my "inconvenience" and that they would also give me a $75 credit for the shipping that did not arrive until today March 18th.  HOWEVER, when the TV arrived I immediately contacted PIONEER to register my warranty and I was told by PIONEER that it would not have a warranty due to it being purchased from EcomElectronics.  MIND YOU THAT MY FIRST QUESTION WHEN BUYING THIS TV WAS "DOES IT COME WITH A PIONEER WARRANTY?" I WAS CLEARLY TOLD YES...AS A MATTER OF FACT I HAD CALLED ANOTHER COMPANY THAT WAS CHEAPER BEFORE ECOM AND THEY TOLD ME THEY COULD NOT GIVE ME THE WARRANTY. ECOM SAID YES.  PIONEER TOLD ME THEY LIED.....I CALLED ECOM AND I WAS ADVISED TO NOT BE UPSET WITH THEM, THAT I DIDN'T HAVE TO TELL PIONEER WHERE I BOUGHT IT...THAT THEY REGARDLESS HAVE TO HONOR THE WARRANTY, YADA, YADA, YADA...THAT THEY WILL REGISTER IT FOR ME...I ASKED THEM TO PUT THIS IN WRITING AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD HAVE TO GET BACK TO ME......PLEASE FOLKS, THEY ARE TOO MANY OPTIONS WHEN BUYING A TV TO GO TO THESE GUYS...BEWARE!!!!!
