I paid for 2 day shipping but it was sent priorty mail so I didn't get it in time for my vacation. Horrible customer service. They never answered the phone when I called and did not respond to my emails. Would not recommend.

Ordered a spare battery and charger for our new HD700 video. Wanted it quickly before we left for vacation and hoped that 5 days would be enough time. Ordered in the afternoon Pacific time and got an email the next day saying it was shipped via USPS. Arrived 2 days later and it was marked USPS Priority Mail. A good price and free shipping. Very happy and would definitely order from this place again.

I placed an online order on 11/17/08 for 2 generic NB-7L batteries for the Canon G10 at $19.99 each. Their website was well designed and easy to use and their price with free USPS shipping was the best I found. On 11/18, I received a call from East Coast telling me that there was something wrong with the end date of the virtual Citi Bank card number that I'd used to charge the order, I gave her a new card number and was told the order would ship tomorrow, 11/19. Since this was the first time that this ever happened with the Citi Bank virtual card, I got nervous and found this site with the earlier reviews of this merchant. I was expecting the worst when my order arrived in this morning's mail. It was exactly what I ordered, in excellent condition and well wrapped in a bubble envelope. Obviously, whatever was wrong several years ago has been addressed and corrected completely. I was very pleased with the service received and would certainly use them again.

Avoid this place! This company engages in the fraud of 'bait and switch.' The items I ordered were not in stock, were not shipped and , without informing of the fact, East Coast Photo sent me a DEFECTIVE replacement item, again, not what I ordered. East Coast readily billed me and charged me for merchandise I thought I was getting, yet I still have NONE of what I paid for. Their unfriendly 'customer service' people claimed that the item I ordered is no longer being manufactured and that it was removed from their website. 12 hours later, the so-called unavailable item is still on their website available for the next unsuspecting customer to purchase. Save your time, money and hassle and make your purchases with reputable retailers - East Coast Photo is NOT a

I ordered some film and photo paper for my photography class on a Thursday. I received a notice on Friday that my something was on backorder. I emailed them on Monday the following week and never heard from them. Then on Wednesday, I got an email that my items were shipped. It finally arrived 2 weeks after I ordered it. Fortunately, I was not in a great hurry to get this stuff. If you need this stuff quickly, I wouldn't shop here.

Ordered 2 900 mAh batteries @ $23.95 each (item number ACD205) off web site. Received an email saying "backordered". Called to CANCEL the order; was told that they DID have the batteries and would ship immediately. When email arrived confirming shipment, turns out they had shipped me 2 800 mAh batteries @ $16.94 each (item number SDNB5H) and charged me for the MORE EXPENSIVE batteries. When I called, at first I was told that the batteries were equivalent AND the same price and it was normal to substitute in this fashion; incredulous, I told her that their web site lists both batteries separately, with different specifications and prices. The response: Sorry for the oversight. They then offered to refund the difference in price or take back the order.

I placed my order on April 9, it didn't ship until April 16. I emailed them (twice) to find out why, they never got back to me. I needed the product by a certain date and it would have been nice to know that it was going to take longer. I usually assume that a company will mail out an order withing 48 hours or less. That is just good customer service. They should let you know the estimated time of arrival if they are going to take so long to get it out. I don't like it when a store is not honest with you from the beginning. If it was on back order or whatever, they should have told me.

Easy to use web site and decent order process. Fast order fulfillment. Too bad the product was crap. The charger was broken from the start but by the time I depleted two sets of NiMH batteries it was too late to return it.

I ordered a computer battery on line and paid for next day shipping. It was never shipped. I called today to find out where the order was and was told that it for some unknown reason had not been shipped, and it was going out today via UPS next day service. I was not offered a credit against the next day shipping cost.
I won't order from this company again. |

I ordered a second battery for my camcorder. Delivery was as expected, but they shipped the wrong product. As directed by East Coast Photo, I drafted the following e-mail:
"Please see the order below. I received the wrong product. I received a Synergy Digital SD-NP20 Replacement for CASIO NP-20 3.7 volt 630 mAh. How do I return this product and receive what I ordered? Thanks," It has now been 3 weeks and I have not received a response from East Coast Photo. I still have the wrong battery. |

On October 18th you shipped a battery charger that I did not order. You did not ship the batteries that I did order. I returned what you did ship the day after I received it.
When I did not hear from you by November 2nd, I called. I was told that the person that I talked to would check in the shipping area and call me back. It is now November 14th and no one has called me. I have not received what I originally ordered. Needless to say, I am not very happy with East Coast Photo. |

I am NOT pleased with East Coast Photo at all. This is the second time I've tried to order from here, and both times were the same. I've been waiting for 3 weeks now for my order to be shipped. I've called a few times, and they keep telling me that it will be shipped the next day. If you need something in a hurry, don't order anything from here. I ended up cancelling my order the first time, and will probably do the same this time. If I would have just ordered from another company, I would have had my items a few weeks ago.
UPDATE: After calling customer service 4 times, they finally told me the products were on back order. I asked when I can expect my shipment, and she could not give me an answer. I also asked why I was not informed, and she again could not give me an answer. I ended up cancelling this order as well. The website lists things as in stock, but after you place the order and wait for it, you have to call for them to finally tell you that the item is out of stock. |

The battery on my Canon Powershot S40 was finally shot, so I popped on over to my local Best Buy who wanted over $52 for a replacement battery. I was stunned, so I decided to go home and see what the vendors on the net had to offer. I googled the battery model number and ended up finding East Coast Photo.
I was able to find a substitute battery for $17. At the time I made my purchase, they were offering free standard shipping. A few clicks later and I placed my order. This order was placed the early morning hours of 8/31. I received the battery in a bubble pouch on 9/2 via USPS (First Class). I was amazed with the management of my order. I'd definitely recommend East Coast Photo to anyone. |

I only wish East Coast Photo was at the begining of my internet search for the battery I was looking for. There program wondow made it VEARY easy to find the item I was looking for. I will certenly use East Coast Photo for all my camera needs and will tell all who are lookung for photo items to got to East Coast Photo.

Thank goodness for East Coast Photo! I was looking for spare batteries for my new Olympus Stylus710 and the first ones I found online were $45 each. Yikes!! I'm not sure how I got to ECP (probably via Google) but I'm so glad I did. Not only was I able to pick up two batteries for $9 less than the cost of one at the first place I found them, but their communication after the sale rocked, they shipped them free and the batteries arrived not even three days after I placed the order.
You can bet I'll be bookmarking eastcoastphoto.com and using them in the future. |

I ordered a battery recharger on Sunday/Monday (Memorial Day). They had the best price and free shipping. The order arrived USPS on Friday. Everything seems fine.
Their order status page seems a bit uncommunicative until something actually happens, at which point you do get sent emails. But before the order is actually mailed, you don't get much reassurance that it is being processed. But this is a minor quibble. |

Was referred to the site by CNET.com Placed the order today for an extra EN-EL3 battery for a Nikon D70 camera. Purchased the camera from a brick and mortar store after over analyzing which e-store to buy from (reading/re-reading multiple conflicting reviews about different vendors). Have purchased many lesser priced items over the internet, thus I was willing to throw caution (and $25.99) to the wind and went for the least expensive one (by $14) at East Coast Photo with its good rating from CNET.
Web site worked well. Selection? I don't know. CNET sent me directly to the battery and I went directly to the purchase. Site works well. Straight forward. Easy to find shipping costs. Now we'll see how long standard UPS ground service takes. Realize that the rating below about delivery is somewhat bogus because it hasn't arrived yet, but it isn't supposed to have arrived yet. Addendum: Battery arrived 5 days after it was ordered -- pretty darn good for free shipping on a $25+ item. |

Everything with the order went fine except the payment part. I use a ShopSafe service to buy things online. Essentially I go to my credit card's website and obtain a temporary credit card number for use at the online retailer. East Coast Photo was incapable of processing my order with my ShopSafe number. No other online retailer has ever had this problem. I was not happy to have to give them my credit card number over the phone.
Other than that snafu, everything was fine. The shipping was fast - my battery went out the same day I ordered it. The battery seems to work just fine and according to the package it comes with a 3 year warranty.
