After dealing with Cambridge Camera Exchange...see my review dated 2/5/02, I checked the Better Business Bureau web site, and noted that Eagle Optics had a satisfactory rating. I checked Eagle Optics web site and also noticed that they are a licensed dealer of the products that they sell. That is a very important fact, because several of the online dealers selling high end optical products aren't licensed by the manufacturer to sell and offer warranties on their trademarked products. What it boils down to is gray market goods. There are numerous articles on the web regarding gray market goods, and buyers might want to educate themselves on this subject.
Back to Eagle Optics. I phoned in the order and spoke with a courteous sales representative. I informed him of my needs, and he was able to answer all my questions. I made the purchase on 1/30/02, and the product arrived on 2/2/02. Talk about service. I have since made another purchase with this company, and will do so again in the future. In short, great service, honesty and integrity are the cornerstones of a successful business. Good job Eagle Optics.
