Here are 2 stories one online and one in person.
Lets start witht he online one. I preordered a game over 2 weeks ago. It was supposed to be shipped out the day before teh release date (i needed this for a gift the following day) I opted for overnight delivery. Well at 6PM EST i recieved an email saying that i needed to call the company becouse thier was a problem with my credit card. (I had more then enough cash so had no prob calling).
What had happend is they use an automated system that checks credit cards. I have my primary address as a PO box for billing and a secondary listed with the bank. ALL other vendors if they think this is a problem call the bank and verify the information!! not eb-games -- the automated system just sends an email. I call correct the info -- the gilr tells me i will have it tommorow... guess what it was still on hold the next morning and not shipped out. I call again he tells me it takes 24 hours from placing an order for it to ship out -- I guestion why then is money missing from my account yesterday, you said you will ship it after the card is verified -- how can they take money from an unverified card?
Well they refunded 1/2 my s/h after I said I would never shop online with the company agian.
Now for my in-store experience, I purchased some games for my n-gage becosue i was taking a few plane trips in the next month. I happened to look at my reciept when I got home and each game was insured for an additional 3 dollars -- No one in the store ever told me i was being charged. I went back to the store the following week (had to fly) and basically foufght with the person behind the desk for 45 minuts demanding they refund my money -- wich they did.
All I have to say is customer service sucks.
