Classic bait and try to switch. The price quoted on the web was almost as agressive as the attempt to sell me some batteries at 300% over retail. When I said no thanks to their phone call my order disappeared!

overall, i had a good experience with digicombos. they shipped my item one day later than i expected but i still received the product. they were very easy to communicate with through phone and gave me all the information needed.

Great service -speedy delivery - the extra items in the package are kind of cheaply made - but the price was still very good. One lense was on backorder, but came in a day later. Would definitely buy from them again.

That is one thing i am not satisfied with, batteryloader did not fit in swedish power outlet, but i found an adapter on the net, so now it works.

Ordering was easy and straight forward. However, a phone call was required to finalize the sale. Customer support person said they had sent me an e-mail stating they needed the 3 digit number from the back of my credit card. I advised I had not received any e-mails from Digi-Combos; but while speaking with customer support the e-mail appeared in my e-mail Inbox! Co-incidence, maybe but I doubt it. I was out of town and unable to provide that information but they were able to process without that information. At this time they tried to sell me an additional battery for the camera (at an extremely inflated price). I went elsewhere and purchased the $199 battery for $15 new. Shipping was great and handled expeditiously however, my most disconcerning part of the sale is the Nikon D40X I purchased is not from Nikon, America but from Nikon, Japan. I tried to register the product with Nikon, America and they adised the registration was not valid and this product was not registerable. They also stated this may be a "gray" product. Still haven't decided how to proceed since the product is working as designed. CD was also in Japanese. Product was not what I expected. Once burned twice learned.

I bought a Nikon D80 as part of the Pro package and am pleased with the camera and lenses. The accessories,however, turned out to be less than top quality and that the values advertised and therefore the savings were outrageously inflated for like-for-like items. In the case of the flash in particular the picture looked identical to the very reputable Sigma 500, but what turned up was a generic Digital Concepts flash. Additionally the memory card reader sent to me included software which will only work under Windows 98, rendering the item inoperable, and the cleaning accessory delivered was not the 5 piece kit advertised, but an inferior 3 piece kit. I have emailed them, but have received no response.

Even though i got everything as advertised (except a '3 piece' lens cleaning kit instead of a '5 piece' kit), the camera was NOT sealed in the box and already had a battery in it. In addition, the eyecup was already attached to the camera. This indicates to me that this was NOT a brand new camera, but a returned or reconditioned camera. As everything seemed to be in good working order, i elected to 'live with it.' i would have happily paid the same price if they had been honest with me about the camera's history. as it is, i will not use this merchant again as they lied to me and i do not trust them.
