I tried to use their on line chat support, was disconnected 5 times before anyone ever came on line. The lag time between my question and their answer was so long I had trouble figuring out what answers went with the appropriate question. I know the lag time to India is bad, but it shouldn't be this bad.

Dell products are great, and delivery is fast. The only down-side is navigating the dell website. The website does nothing right. Finding the product is hard, and once you've selected the product you want, the checkout process is crazy long, and every page is so crowded with excessive options, questions, instructions, disclaimers, and banners that it takes a while to get oriented on each new page and figure out what you are supposed to do. By the time I finally got to the confirmation page, I couldn't even tell I was there, and I was literally shouting at the ceiling while I read through the page trying to figure out if I was really done with the nightmarish experience. If you can actually get through the web experience, the product ships fast, and is excellent. Getting there is quite the journey though.

At the time I applied for credit with Dell - there was no place to indicate I receive my correspondence thru p o box #. I had to call and give them that info. Also, I have not received the laptop yet...they never gave me an estimated time of arrival???? Thanks.

I was really impressed with how easy it was to customize my own laptop and give it all the extra specs I really wanted. Dell even got it to me way ahead of the estimated schedule despite all the customizations I wanted and shipped my extra items really fast as well. I'll definitely shop Dell again for my next laptop or desktop.

The process is very organized for me to know when I need more ink ~ my compute flashes (at times, an annoying ~ but needed) reminders. I click onto "Order Ink On Line" and choose the type ink I need ~ the form Dell uses is susinct and the product/s usually arrive with the stated number of days the checkout process indicates. My only negative comment would be that I think the ink cartridges are too expensive, so I continue to look for sites that will have a similar product at a lower cost. Otherwise, I believe they have their web ordering process done in a very organized and professional style.

All was mostly 'fine', except for 2 items (which ended up not being problems, but are DISCONCERTING, during the order process). 1) Even if you choose overnight shipping, they say (in semi-fine print, that you will get it overnight when they ship: the important words being "when they ship". They could ship in a month or a day, but *then* you will get it overnight. I'm not as concerned, nor paying for fast shipping as *fast delivery* (which means it gets here fast!). 2) Their estimated shipping date was 1 week out from when I ordered. VERY annoyed. Turns out I got it 2-3 days later. This is NOT the 1st time they've done this -- they'll claim 1 ship time, then move it, then move it again...Usually with a long shipdate toward the end, then surprise(!), the package arrives early. Very poor logistics handling and setting of expectations. That said, they *USUALLY* are good about getting items to the customer quickly. (refunds are another matter -- I had to go through my credit card company to get a refund credit 30-45 days before dell credited the item -- a total of 60-70 days after item return!).

In the past I was offered a better price for ink in a bundle of 4. The ink for the printers are very costly and not competative with local stores. This is something that I truely hate due to the fact that I can only get ink for my Dell 948 through Dell and no generic brand is available at at lesser price.

My shopping experience was really very good. It was a little difficult to determine how to tract my order. The only problem was slight damage to computer caused by rough handling and I haven't had a response to date, but I only made the claim Saturday. I did have an automatic response that I would be contacted within 12 hours? Maybe sometime Monday 10/05/09? The web-site was very easy to order from and I was able to order exactly what I wanted. If I order another computer product I will check with Dell first.

I am still waiting for the laptop to arrive. The specified delivery date has not arrived yet. I do note that the time between order and delivery is longer than I would prefer, fortunately I was not in a critical time crunch on this purchase or I would have bought elsewhere. The tracking function is a bit awkward as well.

no order tracking was provided. Very poor communications. The order was suppose to ship in 2 days, and I received it on time. However, the e-mail from Dell only stated that it shipped, with a 4 DAY delivery "estimate". I chose 2 day, as I can't just wait around for packages. Their e-mail should have been accurate, and included the proper delivery date.
