I am very irate and disappointed in the service provided by Dell. I ordered a Xbox 360 from Dell on 12/11/06. At that time I was checking on the status of another order and realized that the "Ship To Address' was incorrect. I called Dell immediately and spoke to a CS Rep. for at least 40 minutes regarding this matter. She said that she would send a Change Address request to DHL for the first order (MP3 Player) and she would correct the address inhouse for the Xbox because that had not been shipped as yet.
I did receive e-mail confirmation of this. On Tuesday (12/12/06) I went to check the status of the orders again and noticed that the address for the Xbox was not changed. I immediately called Dell again and spoke with another rep for at least 30 minutes. He informed me that the previous rep did send a notice to change the adress for the first order (MP3 player) but he could not see where she changed the address for the Xbox. He said that he would send a change request to Dell again. I received e-mail confirmation of this.
Today (12/14/06) I went online again first thing this morning to check the status on the delivery of the Xbox. It was going to be delivered today but I noticed that the ship to address was still incorrect. I called DHL and they said that they never received any notification from Dell. I called Dell again and spent 45 minutes on the phone with them. The CS rep called DHL and we did a conference call. She told DHL that she was sending the address change form right away. DHL called me @ noon to tell me that they still did not receive any notices from Dell. I called Dell again and spent another 45 minutes on the phone with them-only to get NO results.
I am very angry with Dell. I cannot understand how something so simple as changing an address could be so difficult for your Customer Service Dept. They were like robots reading from a manual and could not understand my frustrations.
