DELL- more helpful than you think

I'm just writing this review to make sure others are not turned off by these comments on DELL. I bought an Inspiron 4150 from them Aug of 2003. It took a little long to arrive, but that was alright because i had it custom made. I'd say it was about 10 days. It arrived, unfortunately DOD or dead on delivery. The mouse was frozen in the middle of the screen and i couldn't do anything about it. I called DELL and spoke to three very knowledgeable, understandable people. The first guy helped me fix the problem temporarily. When the mouse again froze on the screen i called again. This time i was given two options. My machine could be repaired or i could get a BRAND NEW ONE to replace it. After saying that i would prefer to get a brand new one I was transferred over to a very kind lady who said that she was very sorry. She assured me that i would get the same computer that I had originally ordered at no extra cost. the new computer arrived three days laster, along with the sticker that i was to put on the box of my old one that was to be returned. Things went smoothly from there. It was too bad that my computer didn't work the first time, but you know- s*** happens. Dell fixed the problem and i am very happy today with my laptop, having had no further problems
