The monitor stand I purchased did not fit the docking station I had already purchased. When I tried to get authorization to return the purchase I was sent on a wild goose chase. It is bad enough you have togo through all the prompts, you finally get a live person and you get switched to 5 different people and finally get hung up on. I purchased this item for the business I work for, if I treated my customer in this manner I would get written up and the ratings of our company would go down. although each person I spoke to was respectful they didn't seem to know who did what in your company. I finally figured out the problem myself and orderd the extra piece I needed so the monitor would fit the docking station. This is the second time I tried to buy an item for a Dell laptop. My personal laptop has a generick docking station which did not really fit my laptop. If you are going to sell laptops I would think you would be sure to have the equipment to match it. Would I personally buy from Dell I am not sure anymore. In the past I have purchased 4 desktops and 1 laptop. Recently when I was looking for an upgrade I went to an Hewlett Packard.

Though the purchase and merchandise were as expected, working with their technical support was absolutely horrendous! The first time I called I was transferred four times and gave up when they said they had to transfer me again to get to a technician in the proper section. The second time I had to argue with the technician to explain that I knew my system warranty was expired and was calling because of difficulty in getting the system to recognize the new board. I was only after I told them to forget it and I would return the part to Dell and demand a refund did they agree to help me get my system to access their own memory board. Though their systems are good, I will never buy another Dell because of the hassle and non-user friendly phone system and technical support. And I have gone back to my work and have recommended that we no longer purchase any Dell equipment for either ourselves or our customers and/or products.

On the Dell page for merchandise checkout--there is no seperate box or area for using the Dell Card. It is lumped together with apply for credit--which if a person already has the card they would not check this box.
So please add a seperate box for the Dell card purchases.

"In production" doesn't say much. I'm sure the progress through assembly, testing, and boxing is tracked on your computers -- why not share the information with the buyeer?
I did speak with one sales rep who was very helpful. Unfortunately, when I ordered I couldn't find any place on the shopping cart to give her credit for excellent assistance.
You should want that information as an additional part of an employee review program.

The lag time between my question and their answer was so long I had trouble figuring out what answers went with the appropriate question. I know the lag time to India is bad, but it shouldn't be this bad.

Dell products are great, and delivery is fast. The only down-side is navigating the dell website. The website does nothing right. Finding the product is hard, and once you've selected the product you want, the checkout process is crazy long, and every page is so crowded with excessive options, questions, instructions, disclaimers, and banners that it takes a while to get oriented on each new page and figure out what you are supposed to do. By the time I finally got to the confirmation page, I couldn't even tell I was there, and I was literally shouting at the ceiling while I read through the page trying to figure out if I was really done with the nightmarish experience. If you can actually get through the web experience, the product ships fast, and is excellent. Getting there is quite the journey though.

I was really impressed with how easy it was to customize my own laptop and give it all the extra specs I really wanted. Dell even got it to me way ahead of the estimated schedule despite all the customizations I wanted and shipped my extra items really fast as well. I'll definitely shop Dell again for my next laptop or desktop.

The process is very organized for me to know when I need more ink ~ my compute flashes (at times, an annoying ~ but needed) reminders. I click onto "Order Ink On Line" and choose the type ink I need ~ the form Dell uses is susinct and the product/s usually arrive with the stated number of days the checkout process indicates.
My only negative comment would be that I think the ink cartridges are too expensive, so I continue to look for sites that will have a similar product at a lower cost.
Otherwise, I believe they have their web ordering process done in a very organized and professional style.
