Your web site was a major hassle, trying to make sure that a number 8 black cartridge would work. I've been using 5's. I tried four or five times to reestablish a password. Despite advice that one would be emailed to me, one never was, at least to my email account. It finally popped up on the site.
Before I order again, I will check prices with Amazon. I find their site much easier to use.

I went to Dell simply because no one else carrys their ink cartridges. When clicking the reorder URL provided with my Dell 968w I got all kinds of expensive ink cartridge package deals thrown at me, when I only wanted to replace one (1) black ink cartridge--that's all. I had to put up with their package sales crap just to find what I wanted to order. They always stick the most expensive packages up front, and you have to hunt to find the simple thing you want to buy.

The website is clunky and a bit confusing. When I entered the product code in the search box, it did not take me to the product. It took about five times longer than it should have just to order toner. Fail.

Confused by the inforamtion on shipping. It says my computer is in production but it also says it was shipped. It has a updated shipping date from the 25th to the 16th. I do not know what is going on with the shipment or even if it has shiped. I need to be home at the time and I am not getting accuarte information.

the best way to shop,in the comfort of home with the highly qualified sales personnel. the sales staff do not pressure sell anything. they assist me with the item i need and make efforts to tell me if the item is on sale or discounted. they are super courteous and well qualified on the items. they do not rush me on any item and take the time to answer all my asked questions to my total satisfaction. it is far better than going to a store. i recommend you to anyone.

dell has been good for me overall considering I have purchased quite a few puters 8 or so and other stuff over many years.(printers, and game systems) One thing I do have to say about Dell is, nowdays I think their computers are a bit overpriced; which would be worth it if their service personel could speak english and not just read from the knowledge base over in pakistan. I have stoped buying Dell computers and have switched but I have found out the HP's I recently purchased come with middle east service help also. I will build my own as I have in the past so any service will come from the good old USA from now on. To hell with the middle east they are trying to kill us, so why give them our business?? Just my 2cents worth I build my own now, they work the same or better.

The are 2 dire areas that need improvement on the website.
First is it needs to better explain the BENEFITS of different upgrade options. Comparative lists of tech specs are not very helpful.
Second is one can not get to their wish list if their shopping cart is empty. The system will not bring up the shopping cart if it is empty. Therefore one can not get to their wish list through it when it is empty. I could not find an obvious alternative way to get to the wish list.

Received Dell Gift cards for Christmas. Unfortunately the Dell website does not allow multiple gift cards to be used a checkout. Only 1, then a credit card. Link provided gives a toll free number to call which turned out to be the regular customer service. Voice menu is a nightmare. When I finally got to talk to a person to combine the multiple gift cards into one he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about, said he was going to put me on hold, but I was sent back to the original voice menu. I said I would purchase again from Dell in the future but that is only because they are the only game in town, not because of any great satisfaction with their service.

Dell shipped the order promptly and it was exactly what was ordered. My complaint was with the placement of the order. All I wanted to do was get some replacement ink for a cartledge that was empty and the dell web site made you navigate through many promos & prompts to see what else they could sell - and it was very time comsuming to find the product I actually wanted without nagivating through all this unnecessary.
In 2010 I plan to update my computer and based on this experience I may not consider the Dell web site even though I get a discount by bieing a Boeing employee

It was fine EXCEPT when I called to return a cable, I was re-routed 4 times, and had to give the same information 5 times (each time speaking to an actual person) before the last person finally took care of it. The end result was fine, but why 4 transfers when the first transfer person said" I'm transferring you to a person to take care of this."?
