I ordered some printer cartridges from them because their prices looked good and I saw some good reviews of them on the web. They arrived very promptly, but that's the last good news I have to report. Three of the 4 cartridges had leaked all over the place. Within 30 minutes I sent them an email with photos showing the defective cartridges. They replied saying to fill out an online RMA link, but the link didnt work the link contained a long sequence of random-looking characters and the page was nonexistent when I went to it. I finally found the RMA page on their web site by looking all over the site manually, but the RMA page didnt work. I'd spend 10 minutes typing my information in, but whenever I pressed the "Submit" button, nothing happened. After turning on some browser debugging options, I was able to see an internal Javascript error saying that the "submit()" function was not defined!
One of their pages had a link to click to chat with a customer representative. I filled out some initial information, and guess what? The chat page doesnt actually chat, it just composes and sends an email to an address that no longer existed. Of course the message bounced back to me saying the address was bogus.
Next I tried manually sending them an email again to explain all these various problems. That message bounced back to me saying my email address (my company email address mind you, not hotmail or yahoo or anything) was blocked as spam! So I called them during normal business hours, but no one answered and I got their voice mail. I tried this several times, leaving messages each time, and no one ever returned my calls. I sent email a few more times and it kept being rejected as spam! Talk about awfully, miserably frustrating
After much pain, I discovered that if I opened myself up to viruses and trojans using Internet Explorer as my browser, I could eventually get their RMA page to work. (There was no warning on their website that their site was not standards-compliant or IE-specific, it just silently failed when using FireFox.) I eventually got my money back, but not until expending literally hours of pain. When I finally decided to just buy new cartridges at the local Best Buy, it was only about 7% more expensive than this overpriced place! Databazaar is definitely not worth the frustration, avoid them.
I would have loved to have spoken with Databazaar before writing this review, but they would not return my phone calls, their chat page failed, and they kept rejecting my emails as spam. I must conclude that they are technologically incompetent and should not be trusted for anything related in any way to computer technology.
