Have been a customer for 20 or so years. Crutchfield consistently meets or exceeds my shopping expections. At times, they are not the cheapest, but if I am buying equipment that needs technical assistance to hook up, or troubleshooting, I always buy at Crutchfield. The customer service reps and after purchase technicians are super. Highly recommend.

Backwards Security Policy

Crutchfield.com has a terrible, backwards, outdated, and utterly silly security policy. I supplied all the correct credit card information with a valid phone number and they cancelled my order because my phone number was not the number my credit card complany has on file. Their official stance is that they cancelled it because my information didn't pass their security process.
I even shipped to the same address as my billing address. I guess they want me to believe someone might have stolen my name, credit card information and be living with me but thanks to there validating my phone number they will catch this thief. Ok, call the number verify my identity then process my order. No, what they did was call the number tell me I need to either tell them the phone number my credit card company has or they will cancel my order. They CANCELLED my order. My NUMBER 1 problem with their logic: A phone number is PUBLIC information. Cut and past my name into zabasearch and you will find it. To say they are taking security very serious and then verify using PUBLIC information is a insulting. |

We are very pleased with the product. We ordered one first that we decided we didn't want-it looked hard to figure out how to operate and even the customer service guy agreed. We ordered another one and it came in 2 days-can't beat that for shipping!

I found out the detachable face stereo is a little difficult to put back on. the rear speakers did not fit properly. I called and one of there people told me to drill the speakers to make them fit. I used wire to hold them in place instead of returning them

Crutchfield has recently introduced their "Signature Service" which increases their already high level of customer service. Additionally, the products they offer, provide a strong combination of price and features. Crutchfield seems to understand that overall value is what really matters to customers. I have always been satisfied with Crutchfield and will continue to be a loyal customer.
