I experienced no problems with my recent order for a 512 MB RAM upgrade for my husband's Compaq Presario notebook computer. I decided to order directly from the company because they guaranteed compatibility with my exact computer model number and offered reasonable pricing. I placed the order late evening on a Sunday, it was shipped by Monday night from Idaho and I received it by Thursday morning in Massachusetts via 3-day select UPS. Considering I only paid around $2 for standard shipping, I thought this was great! I'm not sure why others have experienced problems with shipping, as mine was quick and efficient. Installing the memory was relatively easy, although I didn't find their online support page particularly helpful (although the problems I experienced had more to do with issues getting the back panel off the bottom of the laptop, not with the RAM chip itself). I've installed memory before on a desktop, but I imagine it would be helpful if they included more how-to pictures on their website for first time upgraders. I would highly recommend this company, particularly since picking out the right RAM upgrade can be confusing and error prone if you don't know what you're doing. I checked them out before ordering from them and they are also highly recommended by folks on the CNET.com forums (big techie people over there).
