Horrible customer service ... low price not worth it!

I was purchasing my contacts online and was drawn to this site by the low prices. I got my shopping bag filled, but was hesitant based on the poor reviews I saw posted on shopping websites about the poor customer service. Many said that the shipping could take months, which I didn't have, and that customer service was non-existent. One reviewer suggested you call prior to placing your order to verify that your contacts are in stock or you could be waiting a while for them to arrive. I decided to give the customer service line a call to double-check that my contacts were in stock before placing my order.
I was told by the automated system that my wait time was expected to be 30 seconds. Thank God I had my Bluetooth in and had some work to do around the office because I finally hung up after being on hold for 10 minutes. So much for my experiment to prove the poor reviews wrong.
I then e-mailed the company's customer service e-mail and decided to calmly explain what had happened. I figured that although there was no chance they would gain my business - I will never need to save a few dollars THAT badly - they may as well learn from my poor experience to answer their "customer service" line and talk to current and/or potential customers. I have not heard any response and it has been well over a week.
Needless to say, I won't be shopping with Contact Lens King any time soon. Clearly my business doesn't matter much to them anyhow.
