I received the wrong part, even though I specifically ordered a dcd/dvd drive for a thinkpad 600X. I do not understand customer service in this day and age, or why it is almost universally acceptable to have to return an online purchase at least once.

Early morning live chat indicated part could be drop shipped same day. Place online order within an hour (before 10 am their time). Order was shipped following day. Otherwise everything fine. Fault live chat person for not telling it like it was, or sales for not following through. Price was excellent. Would order again.

Horrible store, especially the manager Frayne. Classic bait and switch. You place order at low price, they charge your card and then call later to tell you its "out of stock" and it will be more money to get your item. This after calling to confirm stock, getting a receipt and signing the stupid confirmation you must print out and sign before they will place your order. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. Terrible experience! Bad, Bad etailer!

Well, the problem seems really to be the US post delivery. They have a very complicated set of e-mails you have to go thru to get any information of your delivery.
CompuVest has a very odd routine of accepting the VISA card details, with multiple confusing e-mails back and forth. It seems to me that you have different departments who are working on a case simultaneusly without knowing what the other parts are doing.
Your charge for delivering this relatively small item is redicilously high, about 45 USD, which is only a bit less than the price of the product.
AND I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANYTHING YET, AND I AM BRGINNING TO DOUBT THAT I WILL.
So there was a lot of money paid for a delivery that does not exist.
Question nr. 7 is yes only if you change your routines.

I bought the Logitech Orbit MP webcam. It was an OEM version; no retail packaging, just camera and driver CD in a plain box. But it was new, works great, and a lot cheaper than other sellers for the same thing.

My order was not processes due to a change in the CC billing address. I received daily EM traffic from Comnpuvest from a third party confirmation source. I responded t oeach and every item and when I finally called Compuvest I was told that they never recieved a reply from me. This was very untrue. I asked why I was not contacted at either of the numbers I supplied. They said they tried one number once. The upshot is...the computers I was trying to buy for my kids for Christmas were sold and they did not have anything comperable to offer. Nor would they give me a discount on another unit. The customer service agent I spoke to continually talked over me and I feel she was not listening to my concerns. Overall a very frustrating experience. I shop on line for everything, preferring the comfort of my home to the hassle of the malls. I would not recommend shopping here. I went to Overstock.com. after the frustration I encountered at Compuvest. I paid a bit more, got better computers (3) and had a pleasant experience. The service and the selection at Overstock is far better than I experienced at Compuvest. I am sorry that Compuvest didn't try to earn my business. I remain loyal to my E shopping sites.

Be Careful! I ordered a scanner that was defective and I paid to have it shipped back, just asking for an exact exchange. Now I'm being told that there is nothing wrong with the scanner and there may be a re-stocking fee. Why would I send back a product that worked perfectly? I feel that I'm being scammed and I may have to call a lawyer.
