Poor Quality & defective products, slow shipping, do not deliver on promises, lacking customer service, no response when there is a customer service issue. They need to improve on Customer service issues.

This company charged my credit card the total purchas price while refusing to send my order.  I waited two weeks of trying to get it worked out.  Finally, at that point, I gave up and canceled my order.
Sadly, I ordered the item as a gift, so it was ruined. 

This was the worst online shopping experience I have ever had. 

They have no respect for their customers, and when I voiced my concerns, just sent me an email saying their contract said they could charge a credit card without sending an item. 

I will NEVER do business with this company again.

Ordered from Comfort House and then decided to read the reviews.  Was a little worried when I saw all the bad stuff.  But my item was shipped quickly, I received a tracking number, and the item was exactly as described.  Oh and at a great price too.  Thanks Comfort House.

Still have not received refund of a cancelled order weeks later

I had ordered a product at their online store.  When my product had not shipped out within 7 days, I called to cancel my order.  They told me that they had to contact their distributor to cancel the order and I would receive confirmationt that it had been cancelled.  I had received that e-mail on Nov. 21.   To date, Dec. 1st, I still have not received a refund of my purchase.   10 days is more than enough to complete a refund.  I do not trust Comfort House at all.  What a terrible first transaction.  I will not buy from them again.  :(

Products advertised as made in USA, really made in China

I recently ordered a Snooze Comfort Pillow from Comfort House (http://www.comforthouse.com/beards.html). I was especially heartened by the "Made in USA" section of the description. I try not to buy any items made in China, and am willing to pay the extra expense. I was very upset when the pillow arrived and of course, had the label "Made in China" on it. Is it false advertising? I doubt it, but I know for a fact several websites list Comfort House as a "Made in the USA" retailed. Obviously in this case it wasn't true.

deceitful practices

I would avoid this company if I was you. We purchased a heated bed cover for $130 as a Christmas present but needed to return it. In it's original packaging, with a receipt, we only received $80 due to the item now being on sale. Yes, I said we returned the receipt to them as well, and I know I don't get the s/h back but I was fine with that.
This is absolutely ridiculous and bordering on fraud. I have no idea when they discounted the item, it could have been the day they received it back from us.
I would not order from them again ever, and will write about them as often as I can.

Complete Misrepresentation

This organization is a joke. Avoid them completely.

I ordered an item from them on January 23rd. At the time they indicated that it would be shipped within 7 days. 48 hours later they sent an e-mail indicating the item is on back order, and oh by the way they have a no cancellation policy for back ordered items.

The worst online experience that I have ever had.

I ordered my product back in November. They listed the item as available, not backordered. It is now January and I still don't have the item. I emailed them a month ago about the product. The response was that it was now backordered and would not be available until January. They refunded my shipping charges back to my credit card. They have billed me for something that I don't have. I will never order another thing from them. If you notice, all the glowing reports are from 4 years ago. If only I had read these reviews before I ordered, I would have ordered elsewhere. DON'T ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY! IT APPEARS THAT I HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF!

Before I decided to order my bath towel warmer, I read reviews on several online stores including Comfort House. Despite the negative reviews, the positives outweighed them and so I decided to take a chance. I was right. The delivery was incredibly fast, and the the product was wrapped just fine.

Web site is bad!
It was easy to order, and then they send you an e-mail asking for your CREDIT CARD information, by e-mail, since i refused to re-send it (THEY HAVE ALREADY CHARGED ME), they cancelled my order, I did not request cancellation, and they charged me a "cancelation fee". This is the worst place I have ever purchased on-line. Stay Away!!!

I ordered an egg cooker from Comfort House. When the item arrived I found it did not have a feature promised on the web site by Comfort House, and which I considered essential (an automatic shut-off). Following the instructions insisted upon by Comfort House, I returnd the item for refund, but I was not refunded the cost of shipping or return, in spite of the fact that the return was necessitated by THEIR mistake. After much e-mailing back and forth, Comfort House said they would credit me ten dollars on my next purchase. I told them to forget the credit-- I would never make another purchase from Comfort House. Delivery Speed OK; order accuracy, customer service, and overall satisfaction very bad.

My experience with Comfort House was not good. I found the item I wanted to purchase online and called Comfort House before I placed my oline order to make sure it was in stock and that I would receive it before Christmas. I was told that it was in stock and that it would certainly be delivered before Christmas (over six weeks away). I placed my order online and waited. I called the week before Chrsitmas and asked about my item and they put it off on the distributor and I was told several times that I would be contacted later that day or tomorrow by a Comfort House Employee, the NEVER once returned a call. Not only did the item not arrive before Christmas (which was bad seeing as how it was a Christmas Present)it did not arrive until well after Christmas Over two months after I ordered it! Customer service representatives (except one)were rude and dismissive each time I contacted the company. Overall the expereince was terrible and I would never buy anything from this unprofessional and unorganized company ever again!

WORST ONLINE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!

Comfort House is the WORST ONLINE STORE!! Their customer service is worse than poor, better yet, NON EXISTANT! If they have any question about your order they make one half hearted phone call then forget about you completely! They leave you a number to call them back but no one ever answers or returns your call no matter how many messages you leave. Finally it takes 2 or 3 emails to get someone to respond and when they do they act like you've never tried to contact them before. They try to tell to tell you that they never got your message or emails and this is the first they've heard from you. It's no problem for them to take your order and credit card, but actually RECEIVING the order or any kind of service (besides BAD) doesn't happen, especially SATISFACTION. Don't waste your time or money with these people!!!

Cheap low-class operation. Totally screwed up my order. Sent the wrong item. Made me send that wrong item back to THEIR distributor and wait almost 60 days before I could get credit. Dozen emails later they charge me for shipping plus deduct 15% from return. The whole fiasco cost ME about $12 for NOTHING. Run! don't walk from this store.

I will never shop there again. Their customer service is horrible. They talk in circles and do not fulfill their promises.
I was sent a defective product, told to exchange it and found out they BILLED ME for shipping back THEIR defective merchandise.
NEVER again!! I am putting this in dispute with my Visa company as I feel I should not pay twice for shipping, especially for defective goods.

I ordered a replacement carafe from Comfort House. It was my first purchase from them. They had the lowest price I could find, reasonable shipping fees, and were quick to contact me when they knew there would be a four day delay in shipping. I appreciate them letting me know about the delay (not that it mattered in this case) because there have been so many other times with other vendors where they just leave you to wonder what happened to your order.

My experience with Comfort House was fair. I purchased a vacuum cleaner from them. It didn't perform as promised on the website. When I returned the vacuum, they charged me a $150 restocking fee, allegedly because it wasn't in New condition, although it certainly was New and Resalable (which is required in order not to be subject to a restocking fee). They did agree to refund a portion of the restocking fee after I complained. They sent me a so-called Bonus iron for trying the vacuum. I did not want the iron, and when I returned the vacuum, not only did I have to pay the shipping to return the vacuum, I also had to pay to ship the iron, or they said they would deduct the value of the iron from my refund. It took a long time to get my refund from them. I would say that ultimately I was treated fairly, but only after I spent a lot of time discussing it with them. I would be cautious in buying from them again.

Comfort House had the lowest price on the high-end espresso maker (Saeco)I wanter; which I ordered and which came on time. Unfortunately, the water container (plastic) was broken. Interestingly, the broken pieces were tucked carefully inside the remaining water container, and there was no sign of impact to the manufacturer's box, which was shipped inside a box from Comfort House and well packed. I think it was broken by the assembler, who packed it anyway. Anyway, I called Comfort House to report the broken container, and THEY called the manufacturer to request a replacement part be shipped to me at no cost.

Two weeks later, Comfort House called me back to see if the part had arrived! I think that was pretty good service -- especially as it had not arrived. They called the manufacturer again and did whatever was necessary, and today the part arrived. Meanwhile, I had been able to super-glue the broken water container, so I did have coffee for the three weeks to replacement, but am very relieved to have the intact container, and I think Comfort House customer service performed VERY well.

I ordered a product on April 19, 2004. It is now May 14, 2004. After 7 or 8 telephone calls to customer service, I have still not received any indication as to if/when/whether I will ever receive the item, even though my credit card was charged on April 22. Various customer service representatives promised me that I would receive notification of order status or a tracking order within 48 hours--this never happened. As background, I began shopping online back in 1999. I perform over half of my shopping over the Internet. This is for certain one of the worst experiences I have encountered to date. I am an attorney who values time, and the fact that I have had to waste important hours over a $59 item, frustrates me to no end. I would not recommend this store to my worst enemy.

My experience was awful. I ordered a product. Needed it within two weeks. Called three days after the order to confirm it had been shipped and was told that it had and would arrive shortly. A week after I ordered I received an automated phone call stating there was a problem with my charge card information. (The shipping address was different than the billing address, which I had noted, this was a gift.)

Then the fun began. I could not reach a human being. They did not answer my email for 24 hours and then did not truly answer my questions. I could not get hold of a human being on the phone. Even during office hours. Don't bother with their phone number, no one answers it and you sit on hold for a long time only to be cut off or told that this voice box is full.

Really liked their prices and products. Ended up canceling the order via fax because I could not get hold of a person. I was very frustrated with their complete automation which makes any problems near impossible to resolve.

Very unpleasant experience
