I purchased a chair from Comfort1st on 2/3/05 with delivery on 2/9. I began having problems with the recliner action within two weeks, and the chair wobbled on its base in three. By 3/16, the chair separated from its base, prompting me to contact Comfort1st for a remedy. They asked for a description of the broken part, and on 3/21 said via e-mail I would have new parts in 5-10 days. I contacted them by phone after 10 days, when I was told it would be another 5-10 days. I attempted to call after this next 10 days passed, and sent an e-mail because I could not get anyone via phone (around 4/15). At this point, I asked to be in receipt of the repair parts by 4/21, a month after the initial promise, or be offered a refund to include return shipping of the chair. I called on 4/21 to get a response, and was told by "Ellie" that she was checking, but it would be Tuesday (4/26) before she knew anything. I called on 4/27 and asked to speak to Ellie, and was told that she would call me back. She has not called. I have given the company many opportunities over a month and a half now to resolve the dispute, and they have chosen not to. In addition to the loss in purchasing the chair, I have also been without use of the product now for most of the time it has been in my possession. I desire a full refund, to include return shipping of the chair. I have yet to receive action from the company.
