I started shopping at Costal Contacts when I saw that they sold the KabaClip lens cases; they had the lowest price and widest selection of colors so I gave them a try. The Kaba is something that you see and think, "Why the hell didn't I think of that?" so when you hit the site, be sure to check out these very unique lens cases in the 'other products' section. Since my initial purchase I've gone back several times to check prices on the lenses that I wear as well as the ones that my son wears. In
every single case, they have been the absolute lowest price I've been able to find anywhere. They even have a 'lowest price guarantee' that they offer customers. With an easy to navigate website, tons of information on products they sell and awesome customer service, Coastal Contacts is a site that you need to check out if you want quick delivery of authentic lenses without getting raked over the coals.
A majority of the things that Coastal Contacts sells are lenses but they do carry accessories and supplies relating to contacts. If it weren't for my search for the KabaClip chances are I wouldn't have found this site. They carry lenses and supplies from most of the big names in vision care [Johnson & Johnson, Ciba, Bausch And Lomb] and once you check out the cost on them, you'll wonder how they can sell them for such incredibly low prices and still make a profit. One of my biggest concerns with the site was that they are located in Washington; delivery time is something that I am very critical on when I am shopping online and when I order something I expect it to be delivered in a timely fashion. So far my orders have all been processed quickly and shipped out lightening fast. I'd love to say that this will be the case for everyone but customer orders may take longer. Likewise, they can't stock every single lens in every single prescription so if you have something that is hard to find, it may take them a few extra days to process it and ship it out.
When I priced my
Acuvue lenses at the site they were listed at $17.99 a box [six lenses per box] and that was pretty much the lowest price I could get them anywhere. Even my local Wal-Mart vision center couldn't beat it so I went ahead and ordered them. They arrived less than a week later and were authentic lenses, had a year before they expired and the box was sealed in mint condition. The only reason I mention all of these things is that some other sites are selling lenses that are close to their expiration date, are opened or sold loose, are knock offs [how they can do that without it breaking some law still baffles me] or they are samples that shouldn't be sold in the first place. You can be the most skeptical person on the planet about the claims that Costal Contacts makes but once you try them out I can
guarantee that you are going to be more than satisfied with their operations, billing, customer service and products that they carry.
As silly as it may sound, one of the things that I really love about the site is that you can get everything done in a matter of minutes. Log into your account, pick out your lenses, submit the order and you are done. Shipping fees are calculated on the product information and selection page so you don't have to go through five or sin steps to see what you are going to be charged and if you are a bargain hunter, opt for ground delivery and it's free. Orders over $99.00 also ship for free but I am pretty sure that they go a different out a different method than ground delivery. You can pick your shipping preference but even when I opted for ground delivery, my orders have never taken more than a week to get to me and considering that it's free if you choose that method of delivery, it makes it an even better deal.
Sometimes you hear an offer that sounds a little too good to be true; I was really skeptical of the 'buy now, pay later' offer at Costal. You place an order, they verify your information, process and ship your order then you pay for it. Sounds too good to be true right? I've only gone this route once and it was a painless task to pay for the order online with my debit card but you can just as easily pay with a money order. As much as I like the idea of not paying for something until it arrives I have way too many things going on in my life and wouldn't want to forget to pay the invoice and get zapped with an interest charge. You do get 15 days from the time you receive your order to pay the amount due but I am a self admitted slacker so paying with a money order and sending it in the post to them is a lot easier for me. They accept all the usual credit cards; MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover.

The Bottom Line
If you want the lowest prices on contact lenses, supplies and accessories then Coastal is a site that you are going to want to check out. They don't spank you on inflated shipping charges and they offer you a true "buy now, pay later" option. Even though I don't take advantage of this offer it is nice to know that if I am running short on cash and need to order contacts I can get them quickly and pay for them at a later date. The site is easy to get around and offers you the chance to read about lens care, common lens issues and suggestions without feeling like you are being pressured into buying something. Their customer service team is exceptional and have always given me straight forward answers when I've contacted them by email or on the phone.
As always, thanks for the visit
