I wanted to buy a Samsung ML 1740 printer (refurb) for $59.00 + $9.50 s&h. When I went to order it, s&h had jumped up to $32.31! VERY sneaky! I did call & verify that s&h price was not an error. My take is that you should get an email quote for the total before you buy.

When my department decided to buy a laptop from Clearance Club, I gave all the details to our professional buyer. She tried to contact Clearance Club numerous times to find out if we could make this transaction via Purchase Order. She reports that they never responded to her multiple queries. I'm now searching for another vendor.

They were the lowest priced that I could find on the Internet. Usually that means the lowest service. Not the case here, probably the best Ive seen in awhile. It was very refreshing. I got e-mails confirming everything. The item arrived as promised and when promised. I certainly can recommend them. They are a 5***** star company.

I purchase online regularly and have always had reservations when ordering from overseas (I live in Australia) with little or no recourse if things go bad. Well I can honestly say that the team at ClearanceClub has set the benchmark for how online traders should act. The problems I had placing my order, through my own fault, were sorted immediately and my purchase was received half a world away in less than 5 days!!

I am not at all satisfied with my order experience. i ordered a laptop computer last week because the price was good. I never received the promised order information. I spoke to a customer service rep who told me all I had to do was to add the new shipping address to my AMEX card (because it was different from the billing address) and the laptop would ship out immediately. I did that right away, but nothing happened. I followed up again twice by phone and left voice mails as they did not answer - no callback. I sent three emails, no answer. Today I checked the order status and they said my order was determined to be a "fraud", which is ludicrous. I will never shop at this store again, and I am a frequent online shopper and have never had such a bad experience.

I ordered a refurbished LCD Sony monitor and was very pleased at the quality of the product. The monitor was in mint condition and I haven't had any problems with it. The price was much better than other website, even for the same refurbished item. I checked the return policy ahead of time to make sure that I would be able to return it if I wasn't satisfied. The order arrived exactly on the same day I ordered. Also, the website price of shipping was different than what was quoted on shopping.com and the customer service gladly corrected the charge.

We purchased a pda as a present. The pda arrived and was defective, would not even start up. We returned it with a request for refund. We purchased a different pda for the gift and gave it. We received a replacement pda from this company. When we called back to see what was going on, and to request a refund they said that we would again be responsible for shipping back as well as the restocking fee. Was unwilling to compromise with us. This is not a company I would recommend. It's a win/win situation for them only!

I bought a sony vaio s170 notebook from them. Extremely satisfied with the order, shipping/handling and customer service. My merchandise included better features that I was not even expecting. I would shop with them again without hesitation.
One suggestion I have for them is about their fraud prevention policy. I used amex to buy this notebook. When I called the clearance center in response to the verification, they gave me a 800 number to call to verify. As a first time customer, I was nervous to call that number even though the rep assured me. If I were them, I would ask the customer to call their credit card company and let the credit card company transfer to the appropriate department (to verify). That way, I can be 100% relaxed that there is no fraud scam. |

I purchased a Sony UX-50 Peg on 1/31/05. It arrived broken.
I returned the item within one week of its receipt. I followed all of the steps in the RMA process. These people have sent me an e-mail admitting to the return, and promising my money back on 2/28/05. They will not return my money. I have involved my credit card company to try to get my money back. They have called the transaction fraud!!! |

I bought a Sony Laptop, the pictures in the description included the External Speakers and the docking station. When I receive the laptop it didn't have any of both.
I send an email to Customer Service and in the most rude manner the employee, Traye Dantzler, told me that is was my mistake in not asking them first if it included the additional equipment as pictured. To make things worst, the laptop came with out the battery and without the memory upgrade that I also bought form them |

This company scammed me. Their photo clearly shows speakers and a video docking station with the Sony Laptop advertised with a photo showing preview. The package came in with no speakers or docking accessory station. I emailed company, and was advised that should have looked harder at written data sheet and should not go by furnished photo of what I was purchasing. Will be asking for a full refund, but from what I see, they probably will not give full refund. They are deceptive and will never buy from them again. Computer looks fine, just not what was promised. Satisfaction stinks.

Their low-price guarantee was not honored. After ordering my hand-held PDA, I found two different sites with the same item at lower prices/lower or no shipping costs. I told Clearance Club about it (via e-mail) and the response was, that they could not sell their merchandise at those low prices. However, they did give me the option to cancel my order. After I had already confirmed my order with them, I then asked them to at least upgrade my shipping, which they also refused. The overall satisfaction with this shopping experience is marginally acceptable. I am very disappointed that they promise a low-price guarantee which they refuse to honor when called upon. I consider that false advertising, and wonder about their trustworthyness.

I was still a little concerned, but I'm now online, and I'm writing this on my new Sony Z1 laptop. It's great! I ordered my laptop friday, had it monday as promised, although the shipping is a bit high. The credit card verification seemed odd, but i called about it and spoke with a very nice rep who informed me of the status of my order. Would buy from them again.

I recently ordered a PDA from this store. I received a detailed invoice very quickly. They told me what day it was expected to ship out (1 day later). I was so surprised and happy to see it actually show up at my door the day after it shipped! (I selected regular shipping) I was very impressed with the delivery speed! Everything was just perfect! This was a refurbished item, but so far I have not had an ounce of trouble with it.

Clearanceclub has been the secret tip going around our office for a while. This prob'ly accounts for at least ten orders over the last year placed by various colleagues. The overall consensus is: Buying from Clearnancclub is cheap, fast and easy. But... we should get our own account manager by now! :) We recommend.
