BRUTAL!!!
Ordered something that was instock and didn't notice that the delivery date was 2 weeks later. Tried to cancel the day after it was supposed to ship (according to their policy, this is how they work). Was told it would take 2-5 days to cancel and that the order may ship during that time so I would still be on the hook for the order. NEVER ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE! |

WARNING: DO NOT BUY FROM CHEF'S CORNER - I received my items more than a month after I ordered them and then one of the items was wrong. I called them and they re-sent it and again, it was the wrong item AGAIN! It's been an incredible hassel calling them and dealing with their "customer service" multiple times and still I'm expected take more of my time to return the wrong item and wait AGAIN! This has been the worst experience I have had buying online and I still don't have the right product! Listen to the warnings, I didn't and I'm paying the price because Chef's corner is a nightmare.

I placed an order a week prior to my sister's bridal shower. That was over two weeks now, and she has not received her gift. The website said the order would ship on March 10th, but I didn't receive shipping confirmation until March 14th. My sister still hasn't received it, and it is March 18th. I won't order from this store again.

Don't Waste your time buying from this website!!! I wish I would have seen these reviews before I purchased something. I purchased an item back in Nov. of 07 and here we are almost in March of 08 and still haven't recieved it yet! Cancled order. Very poor comunication. DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME

Chef's Corner (and HomeClick.com, they are basically the same company - same address and #) - have horrible and ridiculously slow customer service. Inquired about a product on their website, took a week to get a reply. When I ordered something and had to cancel one of the items, it took me 3 to 4 calls to do so, because I kept being told I would receive a confirmation email of the cancellation - which I never did until I made the last call. Got hung up on once, whether it was on purpose or accidental I don't know. I made sure to call them well in advance so they would have had time to take care of my request, and was worried for awhile they were not going to do it. (it was a fairly heavy order that would have cost me a bit to send back as a return, had it not been cancelled) Finally it was taken care of..but I won't make the mistake of shopping here again.

I placed a $500 order in July. Online it said 8-10 weeks, then my confirmation email said ship by 8/24. I gave them benefit of the doubt and called in the beginning of October. They said delivery was pushed back to November. And offered me a $30 credit

I ordered some things on Chef's Corner's website 2 weeks before Christmas that were in stock. The next day I got confirmations from all the other online stores that I ordered from, except CC. So I went to their website to find out what the deal was.

I have never experienced such poor service. I too waited 2 weeks to the promised delivery date, only to have it be delayed an extra 8 weeks. I quickly called to cancel the order...easy...done....NOT! They have to "confirm" the cancelled order. Ok takes 2-3 days....NOT! I call again...write again...call, write, call, ...... see a pattern? hmmm its almost as if they are stalling me..or maybe it's just a bunch of college telemarketers taking orders for some jacka** who has a big supply house and doesn't give a crap. Either way, THIS IS A HORRIBLE COMPANY!! there are so many better and cheaper companies to buy from. Stay away from these clowns.

I purchased a peculator as an xmas present on 12Dec07 My Visa was charged the same day. The gift never showed i send numerous emails after the 25th with no response. I phoned their customer service on 02 Jan 08 and was told they didnt know what happened but they would try to find out and give me a new shipping date. I told them that wasnt acceptable and told them to cancel the order and refund the money to my Visa. About an hour later I got an email stating it took three days to cancel an order and if it had already been shipped or was being shipped i would be charged a 25% restocking fee. Emails to the customer service supervisor were not answered. i also sent emails to HOME DECOR PRODUCTS, INC NJ their parent company after xmas asking for help and still havent received an email from them. There are several companys that are owned by them and they all show up on the same search when you are looking for goods. If you really want to receive merchandise i suggest you dont do business with any of these companies.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY IT IS NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE. I canceled 10 minutes within placing the order because I discovered they could not get the product to me within a reasonable time frame. I received an email 5 days later saying that my order could not be canceled and a 25% restocking fee would apply if I returned the product, not to mention I would have to pay for shipping. This company gives online companies a bad wrap.

I ordered crystalware on Dec 1st 2007, scheduled to ship before Christmas. On Dec 27th (after we called the company to check on order status) we received an email stating that the item will not ship until Dec 1st 2008. Our credit card was billed on Dec 1st. I will never use this website again and I strongly warn others not to use it.

It took weeks to receive my order. Despite several phone calls and emails with "customer service" I was never able to get an order status from them. Seems that some of their products ship from 3rd party vendors who never answer the phone or their email. Chef's Corner does not currently have the systems in place to process heavy volume Internet orders. Since so many others have the same prices on the same products, I know that I will NEVER shop there again.

Terrible Company. They definitely dont care about customers. I ordered an expensive book for about $200 on Dec. 10th and the slogan said that they promise to delivery by Christmas day or before. I called almost everyday to find out the status. Nobody could give me an answer. Christmas passed, my husband was dissapointed because he did not get a Christmas gift and I am still waiting for somebody to contact me by Dec 27th. Poor Customer service and fake advertisement. DONT ORDER FROM HERE...amazon is more reliable!! I will go ahead and cancel my order now and I will order with amazon. I will not continue to wait.

Ordered four of the same item. Received one with note that three were on back order. No indication at ordering time of low stock, and card was immediately charged for all four items. Called the company, whose rep was courteous but very quick to point out that immediate full charge to card was policy posted on their web site. Indeed it is, in a special link that everyone shopping here should be sure to read! However, the first-class online companies do not charge until they ship the goods. Rep was unable to tell me when backorder would be complete. Next day I called a second time to cancel the order (I needed to be sure I would have items by a certain time), which cancellation order was courteously taken. But it turned out already to be too late -- items were in the shipping queue and arrived a few days later. Price was excellent and staff was very courteous, but the company's system is not to my liking.

I do a lot of shopping online and have never been more disappointed with a merchant than I am with Chef's Corner. I placed an order there on 12/4 for an espresso machine and a coffee grinder. I have yet to receive either. They say the grinder has shipped- but I have not seen it. AND, they can't give me any details on the espresso machine which apparently ships from a 3rd party. I've spoken with them on the phone 3 times and still do not know the status of the machine. Since I placed this order, I have placed several with Amazon and their 3rd party vendors. ALL were received promptly. Bottom-line, they stink.

While this survey is as a result of an order placed in November, I have had previous experience with Chef's Corner which has been good. They have given an approximate date when the items would ship -- usually three to four weeks after placing the order -- and the items have come as expected. So far with this order nothing has arrived, but I am not worried - I am hopeful at least that the prior experience will repeat itself!

Only one item was shipped but invoice said there were two. We contacted the company and they said they would look into it and get back to us. It has been a week and we have heard nothing. We do not know if Chef's is responsible or Fedex. The item we received was perfect.
