Each item is being shipped one or two at a time. The Pot Grip was missing from one of the shipments. I have called and emailed them twice. I was told someone would call me to investigate this. It has been over a week and still no one has called or emailed me. I also inquired about the teapot which is "delayed" but no estimated time of the "delay" is posted nor have they returned my email inquiring about this delay.

Chef's Corner had the best prices, by far, on the Denby dinnerware (Fire) I wanted. Plus, there was a special free shipping discount online the day that I shopped. I was very impressed by the quality of the dinnerware, and the packing was extremely careful. Top-rated!

Easy order on October 16, but slow delivery and lack of or bad email and verbal communication. In fact, the item arrived after I cancelled it on November 2 after talking to customer service 3 times, because I was told it would not be shipped until November 12 at the earliest! Customer service was friendly, but did not provide accurate information or follow up information.

The order was received almost on time, but after I cancelled it. Customer service agents were pleasant, but inefficient and gave useless or inaccurate information. Communication (email and other) between the company and purchaser is poor. After the initial order confirmation email on 16October stating the product would ship on or before 30October, there was no additional email communication about further delays, a new shipping date, etc. The next email I receive was one stating the item had shipped and that was after the order had been cancelled by phone because I was told it would not ship until 12November. Since the item was a gift for a wedding this weekend, I ordered a different item from another online seller who has also shipped the item.

Chefs Corner is a terrible place to order from, don't order anything from them, it is not worth saving a couple dollars for the trouble and frustration.
I placed my order on 9/30/07 for estimated shipping in 2-3 weeks (this should have been no later than 10/21 by my calendar). On 10/22/07 I received an email stating my item will now ship on or before 10/26. I call their customer service number to inquire and tell them they should upgrade the shipping because they didn't meet their promised date of shipment time. The customer service person says he will inquire with his manager about upgrading my shipping and get back to me. No one ever calls back and then I get a notice on 10/30 that my items have finally shipped but shipped via ground and I won't get them until approx. 11/7. This is 5 1/2 weeks from when I originally place my order, totally unacceptable. I wish I had checked epinions website before I placed my order. They stink. |

Regular shipping is a joke. I had no idea that regular shipping would take 2 weeks; in the past, regular shipping usually meant about 1 week. Otherwise, my experience with Chef's Corner was excellent.
In regard to the "poor rating" on the tracking -- I was unable to track the package at all, except to know the date listed to receive the package. Usually I am able to track the package along its path and know precisely where it is.

I have not received my order, yet. So, I can't really say more about the merchant. I haven't called since I was told it would take several weeks to get my order. I have not been keeping track of time so I don't know how long ago that was. But, tomorrow, I will follow-up and make a call or look to the tracking to see where it might be.

DID NOT RECEIVE EMAIL CONFIRMING ORDER...CREDIT CARD WAS CHARGED 2 DAYS AFTER ORDER DATE. CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE 10 DAYS LATER AND WAS TOLD THAT THE ITEM HAD JUST COME IN AND WAS BEING SHIPPED THE NEXT DAY. DID NOT RECEIVE ITEM SO CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE 7 DAYS LATER AND WAS TOLD THAT THE ITEM WAS BACKORDERED AND IT WOULD BE 2 OR 3 WEEKS BEFORE IT CAME IN. I HAVE NEVER HAD A COMPANY CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD UNTIL THE ITEM WAS SHIPPED AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN TOLD IMMEDIATELY IF THE ITEM WAS ON BACKOREDER. I am extremely disappointed. I am still awaiting my product after an initial ship date of 7-10 days. It has now been 21 days and Chef's Corner has sent me an e-mail requesting an additional 5 days before they even ship. Chef's Corner was not lax about charging my credit card on the 2nd day after placing my order. I will NOT be using this company in the future.

Product has long lead time from manufacturer. Unfortunately, CC's must charge for items long before they ship. I do not agree with this unless this is what the manufacturer requires. If so, I can only think it is because many people have gone back on their contracts without taking delivery thereby making it difficult for the honest people.

the product ws ordered juy 2, i was charged immediately i was supposed to have the by july 23, put in aphone call to them july24 had not received the customer service rep sd she could not reach the vendor would call back or email me I never heard a any thing my bill was due had to put in a dispute because it wasw 343,o00 dollars and they were paid i called agaiin on fri and he called the supplier and said i should have them by juy 31 which than i did I would just have liked them to have contacted me to say they were back ordrered. otherwise they ere packed great.

They have an extensive choice. However although it showed that it was in stock, & following the order of 4/14/07, stated that it would be sent by 4/17.That would be fine since I needed it to arrive for a birhtday present for 4/28/07. I checked with the co because it had not arrived in time. & was told it was back ordered & couldn't be sent until around 5/17/07. As it turned out it did arrive on 5/4/07.
It should not have stated that it was in stock.
However since they had a good selection, I will give them another try.

Placed an order for a toaster oven on 3/31/07 and paid via Paypal. My charge card was charged on 3/31. The order confirmation stated delivery on or before 4/23/07. It never arrived on or before that date or at all for that matter. Sent an email on 4/23 requesting status, but no response. On 4/24 I contacted a live chat rep who promised to look into the delay and email me the status. Again, no response. Check the website tracking and it said shiping was delayed after 4/23, but no date as to when. No automatic emails keeping me informed of delayed shipping either. But they have had my money for over 3 weeks and I no product, so why should they bother when poor customer service works so well for them! I filed a complaint with Paypal and my personal charge card company!
