I did not get too far with carsdirect before realizing that they play just as many games. I was contacted by my vehicle rep and told that there was going to be an additional $500 fee for documentation, gas, and detailing the car. $500 sure buys a lot of gas.... I contacted the main customer service number and was told by the CSR that no such fee existed. After I gave her my conformation number she put me on hold to talk to her supervisor. After 5 minutes she comes back and very rudely tells me that GA and FL residents must pay this fee. I ask why it is not listed on the website and I am told that it "just is not."
This seemed kind of strange to me so I went to the live online customer support. The CSR told me that the only fees involved were tax, tag, and title. I asked about the $500 fee for GA and FL residents and was told that it did not exist. I told the CSR that I called and was told that I HAD to pay the fee. After once again giving them my conformation number I am rudely informed that I will have to pay the fee.

I am REALLY disappointed with the way that this has turned out. I really hate dealing with dealer games. Don't be fooled by the price they quote you on their site after the fees you will be just as well off finding a deal on your own. I really wish that carsdirect lived up to their own promises.
