We wanted to buy a new minivan but the way the dealers play the games is quite annoying. So, we thought of buying our minivan through carsdirect.

The Experience was quite pleasant. We got the exact price from carsdirect representative and she asked us to contact a lady at the dealership and she was very nice and got us through the whole process very smoothly. There were no surprises and we installed some accessories and we got the carsdirect prices on them as well..

OK, Here is how the whole process went through. I checked the carsdirect website and configured the exact minivan that I wanted and completed the form to be contacted by the carsdirect representative. I got a call in less than 24 hours from the carsdirect representative. She is very knowledgeable. She gave me all the required information and started looking for the minivan (make, model and color) that I requested and located a dealership in the NJ area. She gave me the name of the person whom I should meet at the dealership. Also, she was updating me by calling as well as emails.

So, on Memorial day, we went to the dealership and met the lady whom we are supposed to meet and she said that she is the carsdirect salesperson at the dealership. She went with us through the documentation (exactly what was given by the carsdirect rep and no surprises) and added the accessories that I requested. (she mentioned that the pricing on the accessories were also the carsdirect prices).

Then we went to the financing dept and I had a blank check from Capital One bank but the dealership said that they do not accept the Capital One blank check as it takes more time to cash out. So, I opted for the dealer financing and I got a better deal anyway.

The carsdirect salesperson was with me all the time until she handed over the minivan to me and she was very helpful.
She also assured me to call her in the future if I have any concerns or problems with my purchase. It was quite a wonderful experience.

Here is a little background... Initially we were in two minds either to get an 04' Sienna or an 04' Honda Ody. We came to know from our carsdirect representative that the model that we are looking for in Sienna(CE) has a waiting period of 3 weeks. (Is Toyota listening? Lost a potential customer!!) We needed a Minivan right away and we opted for a Honda and we got the required information related to the Ody (Model and color) right away and we bought the Ody on Memorial Day.
And no regrets for buying the Honda Ody and also for buying through carsdirect.

I would definitely recommend carsdirect to anyone (I did already) and only thing is do your homework before you proceed and that helps a lot.
