HUGE Selection - Excellent Customer Service
by jerryblank, December 3, 2009

|||||
|
I've used cafepress.com about 5 times and have always been satisfied. They have the largest selection of t-shirts and related items I've ever seen. Just type in an interest you have and bam there are dozens or hundreds of cool t-shirts. Their descriptions of the quality and style of the t-shirts are right on. I have had to return two shirts (too small). The customer service is so helpful, they even told me to keep the shirts that were too small. Pretty nice, I just gave them my niece. Shipping isn't too bad, about $5, but they occasionally have free shipping.
I did have one slight problem. The square area around the silk screen block showed up. I decided to keep it and wash it, and it doesn't show anymore. It might have just been heat from an iron at the factory, I couldn't tell. I do know they would have made it right, but I went with my instincts and it turned out well. Give them a try, and if you have a problem, don't hesitate to call them, they will work with you. |

Dissapointing and expensive
by wow_bagger, October 23, 2009

I have had a poor first experience with CafePress.com, and am very dissapointed. Having ordered two t-shirts, one male and one female I have had the following issues:
Firstly the size guide is awful, the male shirt was too big, and the female too small compared to the site's guidelines. Secondly, the quality of the shirts is terrible, the quality guide on the site lies about the thickness and both shirts have turned up far too thin. Lastly, the price for these shirts is far too high, and as an international customer I didn't appreciate all of the costs appearing on the outside of the parcel, which meant customs jumped at the chance to charge me import tax. I will not be ordering from CafePress again. |

I made an order for baby clothes. I heard nothing after two weeks so tracked my order on line and it said 'cancelled', with no notification or explanation. I emailed them but received no reply after 4 days so had to make an international call to enquire. After navigating an automated switchboard and being put on hold twice I was told it was cancelled because of potential copyright issues. I asked why they hadn't provided any explanation or notification and they weren't interested and could not assure me they would look at their systems to prevent wasting other customers' time. Disgusting service don't waste your time.

Fast shipping, great customer service, and returns are not a problem!!! I ordered several items and and accidentally threw away all of my ordering information, so when I had to return an item I thought it would be difficult. But it was so easy, one phone call, one oprerator, one minute and it was done.

I ordered some Easter gifts from CafePress and tracking showed they were delivered (to my office - where I knew delivery would be successful) but I did not receive them. We're a financial firm so we have a "gatekeeper" and she would've had to accept the package. I waited a few days to just be sure and decided to call Cafe.
I am extremely impressed with their handling of this issue. I spoke with Jennifer, she was polite and helpful. She offered to resend the package free of charge and said I could probably receive it this week. I've never had service like that before - and quite honestly I expected them to say there's nothing they could do which is a typical response in this situation. Of course, I hope to find the original package and return one of them to Cafe, but I'm very grateful that I will be receiving my items regardless. I will definitely shop them more often. |

A "womens fitted t-shirt" should be... fitted.
by sunnyco, March 15, 2009
|
|||||
|
I spent about $30 on a custom t-shirt, which is more than I hardly ever spend on any top, let alone a t-shirt. It was called a women's fitted t-shirt. For something to be fitted, it has to have some shape built into it and this t-shirt is not shaped like a woman. It is shaped more like a pre-teen boy. Straight up and down on the sides. It ends up being tight around the hips, tight around the chest, and all baggy in the middle. It looks awful.
If it had simply been a matter of it not fitting, I would not be as disappointed as I am with this misrepresentation. I would not have ordered it if I had known, and I am stuck with it now. |

I've purchased three items from Cafepress: two pillows and a sweatshirt. I wasn't sure what to expect as far as quality of both the merchandise and the images and was very happy with both. The pillows were gifts and delivered directly to the folks I ordered them for. Delivery was quick and the images were gorgeous. The sweatshirt was for me and I was overjoyed with the quality and softness of the sweatshirt, and how nice the image looked. Would definitely buy more.

The .co.uk bit is deliberately misleading . Won't be using this site again.

Cafepress.co.uk.... Just a warning about this site to anyone buying in the UK....when I happened upon it, I thought perhaps there was a UK outlet operating - big emphasis on the UK bit. However, read the part about custom duty carefully. These goods are shipped from the US. They took forever to arrive and at £14.45 custom duty on top of the postage, you need to be sure you cost in this extra. I ended up with two very expensive T-shirts and the customer service dept were pretty disinterested. Oh well, you live and learn. |

Found unique gifts for the family at Cafepress
by japost77, December 9, 2008

|
It's so tough to shop for family sometimes. Either you've already given them something similar on past Christmases, Birthdays, or Anniversaries -- or they already own everything they want.
Cafepress.com had something cool & different for everyone on my Xmas list, even a t-shirt with my father-in-law's last name on it and an Obama sweatshirt for my cousin. I ordered with Economy shipping and got my stuff in 5 days. I ordered a few t-shirts, a sweatshirt, a mug, a poster, and an apron. The quality was decent for being print-on-demand -- I've tried those iron-on transfers, and they don't look anywhere near this good. Even on the black sweatshirt, the printed design was bright and clear. Great follow-up communication after I place the order, and then again once it was shipped -- providing a tracking number and estimated arrival. All-in-all, I'd highly recommend this site! |

Been selling apparel through Cafepress for a year now. Been buying apparel through them for 3 years now. Have had nothing but positive experiences with them. Whenever there was an issue with a product, they were quick to fix the problem. Most times this was sending a replacement. Will continue to do business with them on both sides of the coin.

I just wish the quality was better.

Always FAST, Friendly and UNIQUE products!

I LOVE Cafepress! I'm a buyer AND a shop-owner there and they are fast, friendly and FULL of unique creative designs. On the rare occasion of a problem, their customer service has ALWAYS bent over backward to make sure they fix the problem at their expense. I'm extremely proud to be associated with them and love shopping there for my own and others' products, regularly!
I was shocked by Ogdensmom's review - She shouldn't blame them for non-delivery of her order when SHE admits to giving them incorrect address! It's the shopper's responsibility to provide a valid shipping address - She expects the store to babysit HER? Cafepress provides people an opportunity to both find truly unique gifts -AND- provides creative people the opportunity to run their own successful business for just $7 each month (So I don't get the complaining review from the failed-shop owner, either). If it weren't for Cafepress, I wouldn't be able to work as a full-time independent artist... They ROCK! |

I ordered an ash gray t-shirt as a gift for my husband on Dec. 9th. According to the CafePress. com website, the shirt was in-stock and would ship with in three days. After a full week, I still had not received my order, so I emailed Customer Service. I wanted to know why the item was listed as "In Production" on the Order Status page. Instead of getting a personal reply, I got an automated message that my order had finally been shipped--no explanation to the "In Production" question nor an explanation as to why my order went out six days later than it should have. As it stands, it is thirteen days since I placed my order and it is now stuck somewhere in Maryland.

So far this has been the worst on-line shopping experience I have ever encountered. I placed my order November 11th. On November 27th I called to check on my order and then again the first of December. I got their spill about how dark shirt need more time to dry, blah, blah, blah. They changed my shipping to 2-day. It is December 14th and I still haven't received the order. When I checked on my order on their site, it still says ready for production. Their customer service 1-800 people only read from this site undoubtedly because they can only tell you what is written there - that the "shirts are in production". Two of the shirts I ordered were a special request by my college age child and I am really upset that it looks like they will not be here for Christmas even though I ordered them in plenty of time to get here for Christmas.
Most of the positive reviews, I noticed, are by other sellers that use Cafepress. Several of the negative are by actual consumers. It is my opinion, the sellers could do their customer a favor by not using Cafepress. |

Not only am I a shop owner on Cafe Press (see profile), but I originated as a customer when I bought a T-shirt about the Iraqi Information Officer from one of the shops. I found the shop by doing a search in Google, and I was very pleased not only with the T-shirt, but also the great communication from Cafe Press about my order, and how quickly it was shipped. I received it in an expected amount of time, and I thought the price was reasonable.
Since that initial purchase, I have bought several more items from shops, and even some from one of my own shops. I have set up a shop for an annual family reunion for one of my husband's family groups, which is a great way for far-flung cousins to all order the same or similar things. The glory of any shop I have set up is that all I have to do is supply the image, file, etc., and Cafe Press does the rest. |

Very poor customer service. They simply do not respond when you have something you need to return. I'm disgusted.
Item arrived on time, but is SO SMALL it's ridiculous. It is a women's large t-shirt and it would not fit an average 6 year old. There are no instructions on the invoice for returns. You have to call or email. I emailed three times int he last 4 days and have heard nothing back yet. When I call the office is closed. The poorest customer service I've ever experienced in on-line shopping. UPDATE: Cafepress both refunded me my money and sent me a larger shirt. I was very satisfied with that. |

Great products but high shipping costs scare off customers
by chenein, December 10, 2005

CafePress is great, but almost unusable for international shoppers (I am Canadian) due to high shipping costs.
For a recent order, the price for CafePress shipping was OVER 4 TIMES more expensive than the comparable US mail rate to Canada. The price for CafePress shipping was $20 more than UPS next day air, yet CafePress takes 6-8 days to arrive. There is no reasonably fast shipping option for Canadian orders, yet UPS delivers here just fine and CafePress ships UPS to US customers upon request. Their rates are an obvious cash grab, at worst, or very poor work on the part of selecting couriers, at best. CafePress high shipping prices scare off Canadian customers. I would recommend another solution if you want to appeal to other than US shoppers until CafePress resolves this problem. |

WOW! Anyone can make money through cafepress.com. I started a store just for my college. I made 90 dollars in 2 weeks of doing nothing. I just set up the site, and made a link from our school site. The possibilities are endless, as far as the consumer is concerned. The shipping is basic and takes a week at most. The shirts are pretty sweet for the price, considering you are getting a custom shirt. The hats are iffy though. Other than that they do a great job. The transactions are safe and quick! This site will spark you're creativity.

Shopping at Cafepress can be characterized by high quality and great service. Overall I've had varied experiences shopping online, but Cafepress has consistently delivered on time. Even their "el cheapo" T-shirts feel good to wear and survive multiple washing; for a few dollars more, you can get high-quality shirts made in the USA. Prices are a little high, as may be expected for a custom screening job, but it's worth it. I would recommend Cafepress to anyone, especially if you want to make your own T-shirt.
