I happen to love Cafepress.com! Here's my story: Somehow I came accross the site a few times in the past and was intrigued a bit about signing up and making your own art/designs. My husband had bought a couple of shirts off there for a football game. One day I came up with something clever I quickly drew up and signed up for the site and made it onto some shirts. I forgot about the site totally, then a couple months later a 75$ check came in the mail. I was stunned, I did not know but my items from my one little free store I signed up had been selling.

No, I can't quit my day job yet...but I have opened up a premium store and about 100 free stores with my art. Maybe someday I will make enough to quit my job. If you do want to make a lot of money off cafepress, you need marketing skills, artistic skills, computer/html skills, advertising skills/pr skills, and have knowledge of what sells/what's popular, search engines, pricing, and so on. So it's a lot of work and can become a full-time gig quite easily. There are some elaborate cafepress stores that you may be competing with!

Besides becoming part of cafepress as an artist, you can just shop happily on there. I have spent 150$ there of my money I made off there in the past month and a half stocking up on birthday gifts. They have reasonable priced stuff and if you are looking for something specific, it can be very cool. Just recently they added a lot of new products like v-necks, pastel and dark shirts, yellow toddler tshirts (along with their usual pastel blue/pink and white), plus sized shirts, etc. Some people have cute, clever designs, other times I have to sift through a bunch of garbage to get to that "gem" of an item.

I have bought off there: throw pillows, I've made my own items such as pictures on ornaments (very reasonably priced), magnets, onesies/toddler tshirts, adult men's tshirts, and license plate frames.

Go ahead, go to cafepress.com and just browse. Whether you want something funny, political, or just a statement, it's a pretty good website!
