Cabela's is an excellent site with a great selection and a trustworthy, safe internet shopping place. However they do not give the best prices out there on many items and they will NOT match prices. Direct from their site:

They list the Browning Hydro-Suede in a large for $389.95. I found a site with that same item for $209.99. They were out and I found another for $239.99. A $150 difference!! I don't know about you but there's not too much their customer service could do for me to pay that much more. Bottom line is Cabela's is a great store with a great selection but check around first before you buy.

The service is top notch. No problems returning or exchanging an item. Plus, if there is any doubt as to who's at fault and you receive the wrong item, they pay the shipping to return and resend the replacement item. Excellent customer service.

I was a small boy of 6 when I first saw Cabela's advertisement in my father's gun magazine. That was back in Malaysia. I got to study in the US and I bought some stuff with them and had no problems except for one time when they send a pair of Kamik snow pacboots of the wrong size. Now back in my country again and with the age of the internet and e-commerce, I have made several orders for lures to clothing without any problems. To sell retail and ship small orders to another country that requires an 18 hour flight says a lot for customer service and dependability of a company. If there is a downside to Cabela's, it is the fact that lure inventory are changing often and some products might not be sold in the next season's catalogue.

No complaints. These guys know how to do it right. I've been getting Cabela's gear since they first opened back in the 60's. A great place to shop whether it be in the catalog, online, or at one of their incredible stores. One just opened near us in Hamburg on Route 61 in Pennsylvania. It is an outdoors person's mecca, pure and simple. If you are ever in the area you owe yourself a look see.

I am an avid fisherman to say the least. My craziest years blessed me with over 250 days fishing. I go though tackle, equipment and boats on a regular basis. I have purchased from Cabela's, BPS, Gander Mountain, GoFish, E-Angler, Gary Yamamoto's site and many others. The best of the best are Cabela's and BPS. I have only had one return (product) to Cabela's and it was handled quickly and without question. This was a pair of boots that saw a few days duty! Cabela's "in-store" brand, Fish Eagle, of rods and reels are a great value. I switched from Shimano Stardics, to the Tournament II Plus reels, which I actually prefer over the Stradic. Cabela's has a great selection of outdoors and sporting products at fair prices. Myself, I mostly buy when stuff is on sale and always get great prices. I stock shelves in my garage shop, so I rarely need something immediately. Check their Bargain Cave. By all means shop Cabela's, you can't go wrong anytime. Tight Lines------------->OUT JD

If you gotta man in your life then you gotta shop at Cabela's. It fulfills all the manly, outdoor he-man stuff that men love. Fishing, hunting, camping..They got it all. I have always found what I needed for my husband. The orders came quickly and if I placed an order over the phone the people were very polite and helpful.This is usually my first choice for birthdays, christmas and our anniversary. Big thumbs up!

I heard great things about cabels from cabels. i thought they were a stand up company that would take care of its customers and not sell inferior products. Well, I was wrong. I got stuck with shipping both ways. Unfortunately I was poped over hear form another sight, otherwise I wouldnt even waste my time at cabelas.
