I’ve been getting the Cabela’s Catalog for years now, and usually I shop by mail from them, but I discovered that Cabela’s participates in the Ebates program where you can get a percentage of your purchase price back, so I decided to shop online this time at cabelas.com.

Cabela’s has all sorts of stuff, and if you have an avid hunter in the family like I do, it’s a paradise for them. Usually every year I get some sort of deer hunting type gift for my husband- in years past I have also gotten him accessories for his Yamaha Rhino as well. But, Cabela’s offers plenty of other stuff as well, everything from sleeping bags to canned elk. Plenty of gear for campers, hunters, fishermen, and lots of accessories for cars, UTVs, and ATVs. They also have dishes, home décor, bedding, camo clothes, and regular clothes, lots of shoes, boots, and snow gear as well. If you can do it outdoors, Cabela’s has something for you.

This year I decided to get my husband a pair of binoculars, in the Seclusion camouflage pattern. Also, in my catalog I spotted a pair of purple Crocs that I was going to get my youngest since I was going to be ordering from Cabela’s anyway, might as well get more than 1 item. The Crocs were priced at $24.95, and the Bushnell Binoculars were priced at $119.

I just used my catalog and the search feature on the website and typed in the item numbers to get to the stuff I was looking for, but they do have these areas to the left of the homepage to take you to different areas:

So, I got all I came for and decided to checkout. They accept all major credit cards, and upon ordering I got a confirmation email saying they got my order. Two days later after placing my order, my stuff made it to my door- and it even beat the shipping email, which came a couple of hours after my stuff actually made it to my house.

As for shipping, well I spent $144.94 on merchandise, and I paid $12.95 for shipping. So, I suggest if you are going to buy from here, at least buy 2 items so the shipping will be halfway worth it, and be sure to have everything you need before checking out, so you won’t have to place more than one order.

As for returns, Cabela’s has this to say:

“Every item in our catalogs comes with Cabela's 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied with your order when it arrives, we'll refund your money or exchange any item.
Simply fill out the return form on the Packing List included with your order. Use the return shipping label provided and send the package UPS ground or US Postal Service parcel post. For your protection, please insure the package for its full value. COD's are not accepted. “
My merchandise arrived in great condition and as exactly pictured in the catalog and on the website. It was packed well in the box and nothing was astray in there.

Overall, I had a great experience with Cabela’s and I would use their website again. But, do note though that the shipping is a little more expensive than others out there, but they get it to you via UPS, and mine came to me really quickly. I would use them again, and more than likely I will- because my husband has been hunting this weekend!
