I ordered the lamp as a Christmas gift. I was sent the notice it would not be shipped until 12/31/07. I emailed the company and have still not heard from them. I am disappointed with the service. I hope when I receive the product it is intact and I have a better feeling about this company.

I have a 2 month delay for the product I ordered (lights) but did get the fan. Am VERY disappointed that it will be 3 months from the time I ordered until the lights will be sent if they are sent at al. They should have told me that the items were not available.

Greater selection, better website than Lamps Plus, Lighting Direct. Loved the lamp, its exactly what I wanted. Saw the same lamp in the catalogue from Lighting Direct, but Lighting Direct didn't have the lamp, less than a week after receiving the mailing. Whats up with that?

All but one fixture arrived in fine condition. One ceiling fixture from Kichler arrived in a crushed box and the glass shade was shattered and rattling in the box. FedEX had left the box on my front step. I called CSN immediately, and they were very accomodating and sent out a replacement very soon.

It's the old jack-of-all-trades story with CSN lighting. They just a phone number at a company that runs over a hundred "web stores". When I was searching for a deal on my bedroom lights on googgle all I saw tons of listing after clicking on the first few it was easy to see that all of them were csnstores. Must be some special deal they have with Google or something. Anyway, I really wanted to buy from someone that specialized in lighting. I eventually went with a lighting site that I had bought from before. They had a decent review and offered me a discount when I called to ask about adding 1 more lamp to my order. Should arrive sometime next week and I'll try to post a follow up.

This company goes way beyond bad customer service. We bought a Hinkley Lighting Valencia 5 Light Chandlier from them and had some problems with it. We called over and over and were told each time it would be taken care of or we would be getting a phone call from the supervisor the next day. The phone calls never came. It got to be a daily ritual. Wake up and call CSN to see what they would say today. After 10-15 calls and emails and many lies. We gave up. I would not buy from them ever again. Never. You shouldnt either. I read the surveys below and the people that are satisfied are the people that there was not a problem with their order. But if there is a problem you can forget about anything being done about it.

I ordered a chandelier on 5/17/07 and I spoke with a Jason when ordering. He was very nice and efficient. I received my order quickly ( within time frame/estimated time)which was approx.5-6 days after ordering it. Upon arrival I opened the box and checked it all out. It is much better quality that I thought and have seen at local stores. There was no damage, and it was what the description specified it to be.Overall, I am very satisfied with CSN and would order more lighting from them. We are building a house, so it is not up yet, but can't wait to hang it.

In early March 2007 I ordered a Quoizel Stained Glass Window via CSN Lighting. The package arrived quickly via FedEx Ground but several pieces of glass within the frame were cracked. I called CSN's customer service to tell them about the damage.   Read full review...

I like the options for searching the collections. Most other lighting store sites only allow you to search by type or style of light. If you want a chandelier and matching sconces, you have to search each type separately, hoping that the store actually sells both. On the CSN site, once you find a style you like, you can pull up all other items in the same style/collection. It makes searching much easier!

CSN Lighting has a good selection and good prices. But if you need to return an order - watch out!

I ordered a lamp with free shipping. CSN Lighting was clear that if the lamp was returned, the free shipping would be deducted from the total amount refunded to me. That's fair. So before placing the order, I specifically asked how much the shipping cost was, so that I would know what to expect if the lamp had to be returned. I was told it was $9.

Unfortunately, the lamp did have to be returned. CSN Lighting then deducted $30 for shipping costs! I explained to them that I had been told the cost would be $9, and I had that from a CSN Lighting Customer Service Rep - in an email.

The customer service could not have been worse. They just do not care. They refused to honor what their own rep had emailed to me.

They are a dishonest, deceitful company and I will never, ever order from them again.

I hope this helps someone else avoid this situation.

Called to find out if item was in stock and was assured it was and could be sent in 3 to 5 days. I then ordered on line on Thursday morning.I was amazed to have a Fed-X truck show up about noon Saturday with my purchase.Could not be happier with entire transaction.Will be first place I contact if I need further items. CSN took the time to give me very specific measurements on the unit I eventually purchased. My space for mounting was VERY constricted and I had to "pester" them a lot! Very helpful!
