Seriously, don't use this company. I ordered an external DSL modem. Things seemed to be going fine for a while--got the email order confirmation (May 26), the product arrived in a timely fashion with all its parts and everything. But when I couldn't get the blasted thing to work, it all went downhill. Having read a review about how the telephone customer service was bad and referred you to their website, I used their online customer service (June 2). Three days later, my request was answered with a form letter suggesting a compatibility problem with my service provider and explaining how to return my modem. The form letter was annoyingly like reading a policy manual instead of actually receiving service.
I mailed my modem the next morning, it was delivered within the required ten days (June 13)(kind of short, seems like, if I don't check my email daily and don't want to pay the shipping rates for 2-3 day delivery). Seven days later (allowing plenty of time for processing), I posted another customer service request asking where my money was. The next day (June 21) 29.96 was posted to my credit card account, but no word from buymebuyme.com on the fact that they had sent me a refund, and no word on the test results on the modem, no word on why my refund was partial. Allowing two more days for processing, I asked for a little info, and three days later (June 26) received a notice of policy--again, totally unlike talking to a person. No indication of the amount of the refund was ever given, though such would have been extremely relevant, as shipping fees start to add up and eventually it's cheaper to throw the thing away.
I thought the customer service couldn't be that bad, and that probably I wouldn't have to deal with it. Stupid me.
