I placed an order for a new Logitech Webcam on October 12, 2008 (which was Sunday evening)! I realized that my order would probably not get processed till Monday during normal business hours. Low and behold I got an e-mail on October 17, 2008 (Friday of that week) at almost 3 PM PST, with my Fedex tracking number. I won't get the Webcam till October 24, 2008, which is basically ALMOST TWO WEEKS FROM THE DATE I PLACED THE ORDER!!! I e-mailed they're Customer Service e-mail address asking how in the world does it take 5 business days to process and ship an order. Some customer service guy from BuyDig responded saying that I elected to choose the free shipping option. I then responded back to that e-mail saying "you did not answer my question, why does it the process time take so long?" Amazon.com and Newegg.com will process your order in less than 24 hours on average. Occassionally it might take them 48 hours, but NOT 120 hours to PROCESS an ORDER!!!!! I would have been better off buying from Amazon or Newegg. This will be my FIRST & LAST TIME ever purchasing something from BuyDig!!!

Someone left a very poor English message on my answering machine that I had to try and decipher. When I called, I spoke with someone who I couldn't understand (very poor English). She hung the phone up on me. My order was cancelled. I have since purchased and received the product from another Vendor. I will not even try to shop here again.

We ordered a Sharp 37 inch TV through BuyDig as Amazon was charging us an extra 63$ to the total amount as it were to be delivered through TigerDirect. We were quite apprehensive at first before making this purchase because this was the first time we were to order from BuyDig. We received the TV in just two days by Fedex, we didn't expect it to arrive so soon ! The packing was nicely done and we are really happy about its fast delivery. Because I had to pick up the order at FedEx World Service Center near Miami airport, I telephoned first before making an on-line order for a 3-6 d delivery, following advice received. When I got to FedEx, they said that this a 'ground' shipment that they do not handle. Luckily, a 'home delivery' had been made, and they recovered the package, unofficially, from their security dept. You must instruct your personnel that to send producst their, it must by be FedEx Expree (3 d delivery max.) for them to handle it.

I received a phone call from a BuyDig Representative who left an unintelligble message on my voicemail. I called back to see what the issue was. I was on hold for thirty-five minutes, and because I was at work, finally had to give up as there was no reason to assume someone was going to be "right with me". The second time I called back I was on hold for forty minutes and finally got through, only to hear that they were just confirming my order. Why was this necessary? And why did I have to wait so long to get someone on the phone? Finally I have to ask, couldn't they just have sent me the item I purchased without all this nonsense?

I received the Fedex package today and found the sony packaging box was damaged. The camera inside is SEVERELY damaged - LCD screen is broken, there's a large gap between the front and back cover, etc. (yeah, you'd wonder what kind of force was put on the camera to cause such a damage). The fedex box that contained the so-called "original packaging" is not damaged at all. That prompted me to think that the camera did not get its damages from transit. It was ALREADY damaged before it was shipped while sitting in buydig's inventory.
The camera was sent the same day I ordered it (I was first impressed). Now for the exchange, I was told that it'd take up to 14 days (I wonder why it takes so long to obtain the replacement, but almost no time for them to ship the item upon order). I'll have to see how the exchange goes, and will come back for an update. |

My shopping experience with BuyDig was fine. It's the shipping that I am having a problem with. I live next door to a museum on a State Park. The FedEx drivers are the worst in the world, because they ALWAYS go to the musuem on the park, and very late in the afternoon, after it's closed, and then claim "business closed/customer unavailable" when they don't even try to come to my home. I have never been left a note at my home that indicates they have ever been there. The address is clearly marked at the road, and yet the FedEx drivers always try to go to the museum/park entrance up the road. Repeated calls to FedEx always end up the same way: "We'll be sure to send the driver out to the correct address, and have them call you before they come out" but they never do. Not once. It's like they're not even trying to deliver the packages. I've had this same exact problem occur several times, and I always tell merchants from whom I purchase things NOT to use Federal Express. They DON'T deliver. Unfortunately, some merchants only use FedEx.

Edit: My original review is below but Maurice J from BuyDig recently contacted me and let me know that they do care about their customers and really would like me to return as a customer. So, I'm turning this review to a positive one just because I like companies which tries to rectify issues and problems that their customers have.
Bought some items from them. They sent me the wrong ones. Called first CS rep and she didn't want me to help me and wanted me to pay shipping out of my pocket to send back on their mistake. She was awful. So I called for another CS rep the next day and second rep was helpful and got me a prepaid. Took them over a week to send out my correct items after they received the items back. So total time it took me to get my items is about a month. Oh, ya. They don't always reply to your e-mail to them also. |

Definitely a trust-worthy website that delivers exactly what they say they're going to. My camera arrived sealed in the original box, with nothing missing. I am very pleased since trying to find this particular camera anywhere else is very frustrating. I would say the only negative is that we paid for 2-day shipping and it still took 5-6 days to receive it. Shipping label even said it was shipped that first day, which means either Fed-ex was way behind, or buydig took the extra money and still only gave us standard shipping. BUT for the money we saved, it's still worth it big time.

I don't often times give poor ratings unless it is truly merited. I recently bough a plasma TV from buydig.com and although the package showed up in good shape, the TV was not. It has been over a week and I don't have a resolution and have been made to feel like it is our fault. It seems there are only 2 people who work the customer service area and they are difficult to reach and once you do, they seem frustrated with you. All I want is a working TV for the $1,300 they already collected from me. I'm still hopeful buydig.com will fix the problem but if not I'm going to have to dispute it with the credit card company. My suggestion is that you be very careful even if the company is listed as a trusted source according to epinions. If things are rectified soon, I will post the results so as to be fair to the company.
5/5 Update: The company has said that a new TV is being shipped. Hopefully, this will resolve the problem. |

Buydig.com calls themselves a discount vendor, but that's highly debatable. HORRIBLE customer service. I bought a high-end Garmin GPS from them. Within a week of purchasing it, I found it for $100 LESS at several reputable sites. When I called customer service to request a price adjustment, I was met with surprising hostility. In spite of evidence to the contrary, they refused to compensate me for the difference. They also charge a 10% surcharge for returns, even when all the original packaging is intact. I will NEVER do business with these nasty people again! |
