Purchasing the Abba costumes etc online was great. Easy to do and arrived in good condition within a week... I live in Australia. Later I logged onto order a gift voucher but cancelled this transaction after I was to be charged an extra $30 for delivery of the voucher. I only wanted to spend $50 so if I opted for this amount I would have only been able to give them a gift voucher worth $20 - useless of course and a rip off to accommodate the postage. You need to set up your system so that the voucher is emailed and a delivery charge is not added onto the gift voucher amount. I wonder how much busines you have lost because of this!

Postage to Australia was massively excessive. The package arrived weighing possibly 1kg- if that. postage cost US$140 for items which cost US$170. Some of the products such as gloves were very poorly made. For anyone I know to shop there again, you need to seriously consider your postage costs.

I have bought from this vendor before and have been satisfied with my order. This last order two of the same items were broken. Requested a return, but decided it wasn't worth the effort to send them back and try to re-oder the same items and chancing them also being damaged. I did not want to pay for shipping to return items and then pay for shipping for them to be sent back to me.

The only complaint was the box was not taped well. product or a hand could easily in or out of the box. Fortunately everything was there. More tape was needed to securely seal the box.

I ordered a costume the week before Halloween and paid $10 extra for shipping guaranteed the Friday before the holiday, which was on Saturday. Despite getting confirmations of my purchase, and even an email with a UPS tracking number, by Saturday morning, my package did not arrive. I called the toll-free # for Cust. Serv. and was told sorry, but the order actually was never shipped out. All I got was a refund. They made no effort to offer me any discount or any incentive to try them again. Over a week later, my credit card still had not been credited back with my money, so I had to make another phone call. They said my credit was "just processed today." It was almost another week before it FINALLY hit my account. To add insult to injury, the phone call offered a survey similar to this one, but when it came to the part where you could leave a recorded message with your comments, it cut out before you could speak one sentence! Obviously, they don't want to hear any feedback. I will NEVER, EVER use BuyCostumes.com again. I will tell everyone I know not to give them a dime of their money. They SUCK in my opinion. They should take lessons from Zappos.com - now THAT is a company that knows how to run an online retail operation.
