easy to order, fast acknowledgement of order received, sufficient contact to advise items on backorder, notified when order shipped....couldn't ask for easier process. Only kink is that available discount was not coordinated to be automatically applied to my order. I am in the process now of trying to get discount applied after the fact.

I took advantage of a cupon to save 5% up to $15 on a purchase, only to have buy.com send me a 10% off cupon at a different e-mail address before this was delivered. It seems that they should let me use that instead. I have written to them about it but there has been no response yet that I have seen.

Fine -- the most problamatic portion was updating my credit card information on Buy.com. It was a little unintuative. Also, reseting my password was difficult; but, I finally figured out how.

I wish I knew where the shipment was being sent from. I paid an extra $16 for 3-5 day shipment. I received it the day after I ordered it. I could have used the free shipping if I knew it was coming from California.

Originally I placed my order using a shipping address that differed from my billing address. Buy.com contacted me, via the phone, to let me know that I needed to verify the shipping address. I called them and was told that the shipping address was okay; instead the billing address did not match the address that was on file with my credit card company. I made sure the address was correct and called Buy.com to see if everything looked good. Then I was told that the billing address was fine, but since the shipping address differed from my billing address, that I needed to contact my credit card to give them that address. Well, I didn't want to change my address with my credit card company, so I called wanted to cancel my order so that I could place it with my shipping address equal to my billing address. Since it had been more than 30 minutes since I placed the order, I had to cancel each individual item and wait 7 to 10 business days (not including weekends or holidays) to see if the items could be cancelled. After 10 business days I contacted Buy.com and was told that my cancellation request was never submitted. After speaking with a manager, I was told that it had been submitted but they were having some delays canceling items. About two days later the items were finally cancelled. All of this could have been avoided if Buy.com would have noted that if your shipping address differs from your billing address, that you would have to contact your credit card company. It did note that they would have to verify the address, but obviously there was more.

I enjoy shopping at Buy.com. It is very easy to locate things on the site. The shipping prices are resonable and items arrive packaged well on in a timely fashion. My only suggestion would be to allow the free shipping on pre-ordered items like BarnesandNoble.com does. I would probably buy more from Buy.com if they did allow this option on pre-ordered items.
