DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE!!!!!! The prices may be cheap but the customer service and shipping is horrible. I ordered a new AV receiver on June 17 and two weeks later it still has not shipped. I called after the first week of not arriving only to find out that they needed to varify my shipping address (which was my work address because i did not want this sitting outside in the rain). I am fine with the added security of checking but NO ONE called or emailed asking for that info. I only found out because I called! One of their sales people called and tried to sell me an extended warranty and never mentioned a thing about my shipping address. It will be two weeks tomorrow since I ordered and still nothing. I have emailed their customer service department twice and only got one response. Their response email was just a generic reply and did not even address my issue or concerns. I have called several times only to get a customer service rep who is unfriendly and did not help what so ever. I basically just get blown off and given a generic response. I too read lots or reviews on them and overlooked the bad because of the super low prices. I am sorry that I purchased from them and will never do so again. There are way to many places to shop online and get your things a lot faster and in a nicer manner. I ordered almost a $900 in speakers from Crutchfield.com late Friday night and they arrive at my door on the following Tuesday. Now that's fast! BP claims most orders ship within 2 days....what a bunch of crap. Its been 2 weeks and mine still has not shipped. STAY AWAY FROM BUTTERFLY PHOTO! Pay a little more and give your money to someone who actually cares about their customers.

Consumers claim that customer service is poor, they do not receive tracking numbers, and warranties are not honored. Consumers are unable to obtain a refund for damaged, missing, and incorrect orders. Consumers believe that they are purchasing a new product from Butterfly Photo but report that they receive used products without warranties; one consumer claims that his "new" camera had someone else's pictures stored on the memory card. Consumers also claim that they are being pressured into purchasing extra products and when they do not agree their order is cancelled by the company.
Based on BBB files, this business has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau, because there is a pattern of complaints, and the business has not corrected the underlying reason for the complaints
