Pictures are very deceiving

For a while I had been looking at a few stores online for a quilt. I had looked at Brylane and had received a few of their catalogs in the mail and I had my eye on a couple of quilts. When I received an email with an offer for $15 off an order of 30 bucks or more I was ecstatic. So I ordered this quilt that came with the matching shams that looked so great in the picture.
The site itself was easy to navigate and ordering was a snap once I had my account set up. The pages loaded quickly and using my coupon code was simple. I even received an email soon afterward saying when I should expect my item via UPS and the tracking code they provided actually worked (I've had experiences with other sites where the number didn't work).
It didn't take long to arrive, not even a week. Upon opening the package I was immediately disappointed. It looked hardly anything like the picture. The colors were not as nice, and it looked really cheap. I thought, well, maybe once I get it on the bed it will look better. I washed it first, and when I put it on the bed it did look better, but it just barely covered the sides of the mattress. I had even been sure to order a king size since I have a queen size bed and the quilt I already had on it was a queen size and was a little small for my deeper mattress. This Brylane quilt was a couple of inches shorter than my old quilt, so I'm a little perplexed at how this same quilt would fit on an actual king size. I kept the quilt since I really needed a new one and the price was good. I'll just put it in the closet when hubby lets me buy a nicer one from Overstock.com and use it for camping or something. Or maybe I'll go to Walmart and get one since the ones there look much better.
