I have not visited a brick-and-mortar version of this store. Not sure where the nearest would be. However, I thought I had died and gone to heaven when I first shopped the on-line catalog.
Very easy to browse through their pages. Search engine is one of the better ones, and up to par with Amazon.com. With gold membership (only $5 a year and not required for ordering [at least it was last time I became a gold member]), you can save so much more. The membership saved me around $40 on my first order.
Having called customer service once, I experienced a very nice employee. She was more then happy to help and asked a lot of the right questions for my problem. All stores have nice customer service people, for the most part, but I was very impressed with these folks. Considerate, polite, fast, and they seemed very caring.
Their stock is very large, and I have even seen rarely seen books on their list.
Their delivery speed was better than expected, and the products have been shipped in very good packaging. Getting an order wrong has never been a problem with me.
They do have a down fall that I have also experienced at two other on-line stores. But I have learned to live with it and wait. They don't tell you they are going to back order something until a day or two later after you have put in your order. I usually want to know if it is ready to ship soon, because if not, then I would order from somewhere else. Only however, if it is a special gift, needing delivery sooner. I am not sure if this was something that just happened to me or it is a reoccurring problem. Which ever, I will also use this on-line store along with my other two favorites in comparing prices and shipping prices.
