I received an e-mail requesting I call customer service in regards to my
order. It said it could not be processed because of invaild credit card or
expiration date, incorrect billing or shipping address, or did not use
international checkout which was not required. My e-mail confirmations
showed no errors of any kind. In asking the customer service rep of the
problem he insisted I provide him with unnecessary info about my credit
card such as 800 #'s. When I refused he hung up on me. I called back and
spoke to another rep to find out my order had been canceled. He took my
original order # and confirmed no errors with the cedit card or addresses
in the original order. He resubmitted the order (#649478) and
it was filled correctly. With all the credit card fraud
there is I will not give unnecessary info to someone over the phone when
it is correct on a supposedly secure web site. I also do not like being
hung up on by a rude customer service rep. when anwsering the companies
request to call.

The first attempt to place an order resulted in repeated calls to my home, sometimes twice a day, all asking for the same information. After a few weeks of "confirming" the information, I received a message that the item was not in stock. Except for this lack of communication between your employees and not notifying me that the item was out of stock anyway, coustomer service was excellent. Upon reordering and receiving the merchandice, the item broke before I even took of the tags. However, it was replaced; although, because of this experience, I am very concerned that it will break at any moment. I am not confident in the merchandice that you sell and, becasue of the excessive phone calls and your not notifying me that the first item was out of stock (the web site indicated in stock), I have no intentions of using your site in the future.

I also have not had a great experience with Boatersworld.com.
I placed an order online for white internal bilge paint and got grey. I swear I ordered white on their website but all records show grey. So it is possible it's my fault but I really don't think so as I was sure I ordered white. Trying to exchange the grey for white with them now. Still waiting to see how they assist me or don't assist me. |

They sent the wrong item and it took over three weeks to return and receive the correct item. Customer support could barely speak english. I cancelled the order by phone but they sent a replacement instead.

Worst shopping experience I have ever had in my life. I ordered a trolling motor in April 2006 to ship in 7 to 14 days. Okay, I guess I can wait that long. Order placed-- 14 days later not shipped, called and was told by someone I could hardly understand (boy was that an experience, thought I was in another country)2 more weeks to ship, darn. Not happy but waited this long so---- okay. Four weeks, not shipped, Same deal. Called-- now it's only 2 to three more weeks out, YEEHAW, ain't this fun!!!! I have waited 5 weeks now to ship. Oh look, whats this? Same trolling motor? Free Shipping? $89.00 less? Boatersworld.com you just lost me never to see me again!!!! I wish there was A minus check mark you could give them. I'll order mine from trollingmotordoctor.com

I will never shop from here again. I placed an order in June, am still waiting for it to arrive in October..... very hard to get in contact with customer service and very little help offered to rectify the problem. Am unable to find product elsewhere so I find myself compelled to wait for it to arrive. Very poor customer service.

In store purchases are OK unless you need to special order. Ordered a Life raft in Feb and didn't get delivery in store (East Coast USA) until late May. They never once called me to tell me it was in. I called several times and now I know it was in the store but nobody bothered to look when I called. Should have learned but since I had Capt Club points, used them to order a dock wheel. Called and they told me it was delivered to store (4 weeks later) but when I got there, it had not arrived and has been on back order for two weeks now. I WILL NEVER ORDER FORM BOATERS WORLD AGAIN!!!!!

By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. Ever. Boat seats that were supposed to be shipped in 5-10 business days were still not shipped 7 weeks later. Repeated calls to customer service did no good- they kept making up new (imaginary?) ship dates and I beleived them. Had to cancel the order- seats ordered two weeks before Memorial Day weekend were not to be expected until August?? C'mon!!! Could have used that information back in May, folks. I asked them to substitute ANY comparable seat and they could not even comply; one customer service representative told me that they had no seats to ship anyway and I was "one in a long line of irate customers." Supervisors were completely useless/impressively incompetent and they like to put you on hold and hang up on you alot- always fun.
I strongly suggest NOT buying anything from them unless you really like waiting for stuff that may not ever arrive and enjoy hold music. To wrap it up, if I had a big, shiny trophy to award to a company for the worst customer service ever I would award it, without hesitation, to "Boatersworld.com". |
