Big fitness carries the Big chain store attitude, except they are not big chain store.

Product information is poor, staff are not interested and passing you information.

E-mail communication just as poor a phone communication.

Exaggerated description of products, slow shipping.

Warranty only 90 days, and the free shipping trap: Free shipping in their own world, they jack up the price and call is free shipping.

I found a Cap Barbell bench I wanted went to www.bigfitness.com they charge $399 with the supposed free shipping, yeah right!

We asked them a lot question about other benches and equipment, according to them a lot items is shipped from the manufacturer which bigfitness has no control over it, meanwhile the other on line store we bought from shipped the item same day because they handle their own shipping, big fitness said usually most of the weight benches ships within 3 business days but sometimes can be up to 5 depending how busy and time of the year.

Then we tried www.k9fitness.com the same bench (http://www.k9fitness.com/shop/item/2) costs $251 and the shipping was only $59 and a little discount they offered made the bench even $300 wow $100 less!

Although Big Fitness was not rude to us, we did not get the feeling they are very warm people when comes to offering help, they tend to exaggerate or give hype comments typical salesman attitude, but they treated us with respect.

In comparison: the company we have been buying from takes the time to ask us question and analyze our needs offer options and suggestions but not pushy, like old fashion way, they seem to have pleasure helping us and we just the feeling you get and not fake like most companies do now, they go out of their way even when we called to ask question about an item we bought from another store, and yes we mentioned we bought from another store, they talked to us as if we were going to buy from them.


We got the bench for the kids program we run we are always buying fitness equipment, we search a great deal before we buy, and bifitness is not our top choice.

We have bought small items from them in the past, shiping was just average time nothing exceptional, we did not know better back then, but their price is always higher.

We would give then a plain "C", not the worse but it could be much better considering that any search we do on search engines their web site comes up.
