I ordered some fencing and a bird feeder. Everything came very quickly, which was nice. However the bird feeder, which was INCREDIBLY expensive considering it was plastic, not copper as the description led me to believe, was all scratched up. I called to complain and was told they would have the manufacturer ship a replacement top in a few weeks. It was migratory bird season in my area and I needed a feeder immediately, not in a few weeks so this was not an acceptable fix for me. (Incidentally, they told me that ALL the feeders they had in that model were scratched so I shouldn't worry about it. Basically they admitted that they are knowingly sending out defective merchandise) I elected to ship it back and despite several e-mails saying that they do not back-charge for shipping, I had to pay for the return shipping (not a common practice among mail order companies when dealing with a defective product) and was not refunded the money for the original shipping, which they overcharged me on. (Had I just ordered teh fence the shipping would have been $13+, with the feeder it was $16 and change). They deducted $10 for shipping from my refund.
These people spew garbage about being a "Christian-based company" and say that their goal is "100% customer satisfaction" but in fact they sell crap merchandise that is overpriced and then screw you when it comes time to face up to the fact that they are selling defective merchandise.
I am considering filing a claim with my CC company out of principle ... certainly my time is worth more than what I'm out on this but this is a company that deserves to be put out of business, one unsatisfied customer at a time.
