The original headboard was delivered damaged by UPS. I called and the Customer Service Rep ordered a new one to be delivered. The second one arrived within a few weeks and was in good condition. My only complaint is the damaged one is still sitting in my livingroom. I was told the delivery service, UPS, might want to pick it up and to hold on to it for up to 3 weeks. It is very inconvenient to have such a large article hanging around my house. Still no word as to whether or not they are coming to get it.

I was extremely nervous about buying the headboard from Bedroom Furniture Direct because of all the negative feedback about them. But, for the price of the headboard we decided to give them a try. Our headboard was received in about 10 days, which is normal, especially when it's free shipping. It was not damaged at all and included all of the necessary hardware. We had to drill holes into it ourselves to make it fit with our frame, but for $88 and free shipping, it was definitely worth it. You can't tell that we had to drill our own holes. It was a pine headboard and the finish matched our son's pine dresser that he already had perfectly. It really completed his room. We're satisfied with them and would buy from them again.

Ordering was easy enough, but I heard nothing for a few weeks, and then received an email that there was a shipping delay and it would be another 30 days. I still have not received the product. Part of the reason I ordered it from this merchant was because the estimated delivery day posted on the website was several weeks shorter than other vendors. I could have saved money and purchased the bed elsewhere and still received it faster.

The furniture was probably a better value than we'd hoped -- not heirloom furniture, but solid, nicely constructed, good value pieces at a very good price. The only thing that befuddled us was that the bed frame and the headboard, which were sold as a set, couldn't possibly attach together as specified in the directions. So we had to get some wood and create a piece to go between the two so they would connect sturdily. It ended up working out great for us, but it might have been a real problem for someone who wasn't as handy as my husband. Still, I'd shop at Bedroom Furniture Direct again.

1. Got Norton warning that security certificates on this site are not right which restricts certain display items. First time I did not see the "Set" option and thought I was buying a set and now cannot get the footboard separately. Also the adapter plate does not fit my standard bed frame but they cannot offer any replacement/fix.
