I purchased a new plasma t.v. for my husband for Christmas. I received an order confirmation right away, but after that, no additional e-mails. Since Beach Camera says they typically ship their products within 48 hours, I gave them a week and then called. They told me our t.v. had been shipped and was due to be delivered the next day. They didn't give me any further information or instructions. The trucking company delivered the t.v. the next day. They said it had been on the truck all night and was too cold to set up and turn on. I made a note of that on the delivery slip. The t.v. was never removed completely from the box, but I did a visual inspection & didn't see any problems. When my husband got home later that day we began setting the t.v. up. It wasn't until the t.v. was all out in full light that we were able to see the plasma was cracked inside the t.v. in each of the corners. We immediately called Beach Camera. They simply said, "You signed for it." The trucking company picked up the broken t.v. a week later. Apparently we should have receieved an e-mail from Beach Camera before the t.v. was delivered with complete instructions of how to inspect the t.v. I searched through my spam and everything. We did NOT get this e-mail. The t.v. box also should have had shock sensors on it to show if the box had been dropped or handled roughly. These sensors had been torn off. I don't know where in the process the t.v. was broken. All I know is that we received it broken. After 3 months of stress and phone calls, we were finally given a full refund.
