Beach Camera should be a definite consideration if you are considering the purchase of a new camera. I recently ordered two new cameras a birthday gifts- the Canon G9 (a fantastic camera by the way), and the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 (a no-nonsense point and shoot that gets the job done). There was no attempt to 'sell-up', add additional unwanted accessories, or 'bait-and-switch'. Both cameras arrived well within the promised time lines. Beach Cameras offers free shipping on many of their products coupled with very competitive pricing makes for a very good deal for the shopper. The cameras arrived undamaged. The shipping department uses ample protective packaging materials to reduce the chance for damage. Both units were brand new complete with owners manuals and accessories. There was no evidence the boxes had been opened or tampered with prior to shipment (I wished I could say that about all on-line retailers). There may be lower prices from on-line retailers but I would caution shoppers to review customer satisfaction reports and research whether there have been complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau. Beach Camera is a recommended retailer by CNET and many other sites. I fully recommend that camera shoppers seriously consider Beach Camera. I will certainly purchase from this retailer in the future- especially since I'm going to need some additional toys (accessories) for the Canon G9 as there are lens adapters, telephoto and macro lenses, camera cases, SD cards, batteries, and tripods (all on my next shopping list) available.
