Beach Audio sent me scratched and used remotes that were broken. Not a good experience

I'm disappointed but I don't know much about Beach Audio. I never ordered from them before. I should have taken heed in the saying, "If a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is". I ordered 2 remote transmitters for my 6 year old Prestige alarm system on my car. My current alarm remote has a LCD that died about 2 years after I had the system installed in 2003. These remotes run about $80 each but Beach Audio was selling them for about 47 dollars each. A day before I ordered the remotes, I called Beach Audio's customer service to inquire since there was no image of the remote but it did have the model number. The gentleman told me they were originally shipped directly from the manufacturer so it should be fine. When the remotes came (extremely fast shipping), they clearly looked used. The batteries that came with the remotes worked but each remote and battery was packed differently. I spent the next 3 days trying to have the original manufacturer's techs (Audiovox) program the remotes for me. I worked with 5 different techs and all of them said I bought broken remotes and it was clear that I received broken items from Beach Audio. The issues that upset me are me not being informed that the items were not new. Also, contrary to what the Rep from Beach Audio told me, the items were not shipped to them or me from Audiovox. The packing slip said the item was shipped from a company named Almo, in PA. I'm not happy about the whole process and I feel that I shouldn't even be responsible for paying to ship these remotes back to Beach Audio. You win some, you lose some. I'll order directly from Audiovox and take the hit on the return shipping to Beach Audio.
