Products were great and at a very, very good value - they cost less than one-third of what I pay at a local store. Shipping did take longer than expected and packaging was in an "altered" box that was excessively taped. I will shop here again.

Phone call made on 07-01-04 at 3:10pm EDST and a return call was received stating that the item (Eveready watch Battery 344)order was out of stock and would be shipped in 3 to 4 days. As of 07-14-04 I have not received any package from Batteries and Butter.

During my order process, I filled in forms expecting that at some point I would be told what the shipping costs would be for the item I wanted to purchase. Every other website I have purchased from has allowed a shopper to terminate the buying process at any point, including that stage when all charges (item tax handling shipping) are totaled. This website gives you the item price, quickly mentions that the company has a minimum order requirement (and will assess a $5.00 penalty if you do not meet this minimum), takes your credit card information and immediately processes the order, saying you'll get the lowest shipping rate available at the time of shipment. THE COMPANY MAKES NO PROVISION FOR SHOWING TOTAL COSTS TO A BUYER BEFORE PROCESSING THE ORDER! It doesn't matter whether the company has good or bad prices or whether their other assessments (minimum order penalties, handling charges, etc.) are reasonable. The company has an obligation to show a potential buyer what ALL the expenses will be before processing an order. And, for what it's worth, I pay shipping all the time, both as a buyer and a seller of products on the Internet. I know what shipping costs. This company not only charged me a fee ($5.00) because my order was less than their "minimum," their shipping charges were easily 30% to 40% higher than their cost. This in itself is not a problem--as long as a potential buyer has the ability to back out of a transaction if the cost is more than they want to pay. However, when a company hides its shipping costs and then doesn't allow you to terminate the transaction, there is a real problem... one which I will not subject myself to in the future.

Ordered 16 disposable camera on December 31th and received them Jan 6th. They e-mail me my shipping and tracking information. Talk to customer service very polite. Very happy with sale. I would buy from them in the future.
