Product was initially back-ordered. I phoned customer service to find out when it would be shipped and was told not until the end of March. The very next day I received an email that it had been shipped. Obviously, this information was not communicated to customer service. But I was thrilled it arrived due to the fact that we are going camping on 4/1/07 and that was the purpose of this purchase.

On-line order did not indicate items were sold out and did not notify at time of order or give a option to replace with a similar item. Shipping did not have order tracking and was very late... 10 days.

I'm very pleased with the Bass Pro website. It's formatted well and the various screens refresh with little delay. I also appreciate that I can access on-line versions of their print catalogs. Bass Pro prices and selection are very competitive.

I was a bit upset that they didn't have the exact jacket that I was looking for. I found it in the store orgionally but they didn't have it online. I have found that several times with Bass Pro Shops..but this time I found something that worked as well for a little more so it all worked out.

Hands down, BASS PRO SHOPS is the most excellent place to shop for fishing stuffs, they rate far better than Cabela's. Can you believe that Cabela's take more than 2 months on their back order items? They even advertise on their catalogs items that are no longer available!!! Round one: Bass Pro Shops: 100 / Cabela's: Zero and there is no need to announce who the winner is...

shipping couldn't be tracked as was USPS, called to check on it but since can't track didn't make any difference. as much as BPS ships they should have a better rate and all shipping be trackable. just saw same item in local BPS store for 29.95 as compared to the 39.95 paid on this order through mail. We may return item as have not used it yet.

Received part of order after about a week (items from most vendors of these products arrive in about 3 days); the remainder of the order is on back order and the possible ship date is unknown. Bass Pro should simply tell people that the item ordered isout of stock, not tell them after the order is made that the item is back ordered. Further, most vendors will tell buyers when to expect back ordered items to be shipped. I cannot tell if this item will ever arrive from Bass Pro and thus cannot go to another vendor with the item in stock. This is a unnecessary hassle.

an excellent store. I hear they are looking to build a new store in southwestern PA...if they look a little north to near the grove city outlet malls, near the I79 an dI80 interchange, there's a much better building site. I don't know how to get that information to them....it puts them closer to lake erie as well. jim

The products that I was looking for were easy to find and the process of making the order was short and simple.

Web site is very user friendly. It is great shopping in person, however, they are always products in the catalog and online that may not be in your local area. For instance, the rod and reel I purchased is for ice fishing. When was the last time you could ice fish in Dallas. However, the reel is great for crappie fishing. And an added bonus - no one else has the advantage I do with equipment.
