Unacceptable, Unreliable, Undependable.

I ordered from Barrie Pace on 10/02/05. My order was backordered till 10/30/05. As this was for my daughter's wedding, I sent an email requesting confirmation that delivery would be no later than 11/01/05. I received a prompt email back assuring me of delivery date. On 10/30/05, I checked my account on line and found that order was now further back logged to 11/17/05. I phoned customer service and was advised someone would phone me back the following day with an update. No one called. I phoned again and asked to speak with a supervisor. Although polite, the supervisor was unable to explain why there was a further delay ... and was unable to tell me why no one notified me accordingly. I asked if she could have her buyer contact the vendor directly for confirmation of this new delivery date. She assured me she would contact warehouse and get back to me .... no one called back. I phoned the next day and explained this entire situation again to another supervisor ... who assured me she would phone back .... to date, 2 days later, no one has contacted me. I have asked for corporate office number; however, no one will supply that information. I have been in the customer service business for many years. I find this service unacceptable and the information I have received thus far very unreliable. Additionally, the personnel do not seem to make any extra efforts when I advised them this outfit was for my daughters wedding. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BARRIE PACE!
