Shopping experience was fine, but trying to get the serial number from the selling dealer as suggested on the rebate form was unfruitful. The only place it can be found is on the device itself. As my unit had already been installed by a friend, I will have to take the CPU apart myself, I guess, to get the serial no. Hope I don't get electrocuted in the process!!!
Anyway, I think the rebate form should be revised, or - at least warn the customer to look for the serial no. BEFORE installing it.

I've purchased several items from B&H, including both of my digital cameras and a bunch of accessories. In every case the order has shipped promptly, been well packed, and arrived quickly. Their selection is incredible and they can be trusted. Their prices are not always the lowest but are always competitive, and the security of dealing with a trusted supplier is worth a couple of bucks. I'm a very very satisfied customer and don't hesitate to recommend B&H to anybody who asks. Good website, too.

Having been impressed by B&Hs stock, I ordered an Underwater Camera housing. Their tracking system and prompt delivery were excellent.
However the item arrived badly assembled, something that could have been checked at B&H. Having sent the item back at great expense I requested that the item be returned to me marked Exchange/Warranty as I had already paid $160 tax. This request was ignored and I incurred the same charges again. I'd say from a sales point of view B&H are excellent, but their customer service leaves something to be desired. Be wary if you are ordering from overseas, James. |

I PLACED AN ORDER ON LINE FOR A DIGITAL CAMERA AND ACCESSORIES AT 6:00AM ON TUESDAY. I ASKED FOR 2-DAY AIR SHIPMENT. AT 9:00AM, I REALIZED THAT I FORGOT TO ORDER A FLASH UNIT FOR THE CAMERA. I CALLED, WAS TOLD THAT THEY COULD NOT ADD THE FLASH TO MY ORDER BECAUSE IT HAD ALREADY GONE TO SHIPPING (3 HOURS!)...BUT I COULD PLACE A NEW ORDER. I DID (2-DAY AIR). BOTH PACKAGES ARRIVED WEDNESDAY (IN ONE DAY!). I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED...BUT THATS THE KIND OF SERVICE YOU CAN EXPECT (AND GET) FROM B&H PHOTO.

The product I initially purchased was received by me damaged. During my first call to the customer service I was told to write some information on the shipping box and return the package. But then I thought "who pays for this?". During my second call to customer service I was issued a return label from UPS. Why didn't the person during the first call to customer service do this? Are customers expected to pay for returns unless they ask B&H to? Then I ordered a replacement for the damaged product and it was damaged in the same exact way. This leads me to believe that the damage was not caused by shipping, but more likely damaged by the manufacturer during production or packaging. I did not like the return process and I have concerns about the quality of the products.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. I made an order for a Nikon 70-200m f/2.8 len using my AMEX card. As an international purchaser I immediately sent photos of my card as required. Two days later, the company said it needs photos of the card before sending the good. In the meantime it already debited my card for USD 1658.95! I am still waiting for a response and delivery of the len. Just because I am an international customer they think it is ok to delay their clients order. I don't know what the company is trying to do, is it trying to cheat me 1658.95? What I do know is I will NEVER shop with these people again.

I am a Maltese customer of B&H Photo-Video-Pro Audio. I have recently bought 2 digital cameras from their web site, and I must say that I am 100% satisfied with the service they gave me.
They were exceptionally quick to process my order (only 3 days) and after 9 days, my cameras arrived in immaculate condition (thanks to UPS as well!! :)) Would I buy again from this site? Recently I purchased a Nikon D100 and four lenses from B&H on a Monday, ordering from the web. After I placed the order I received a courtesy call back from B&H confirming that all materials in the order were in stock and would be shipped immediately. I received the complete order on Friday.
A few days later, in the evening, I ordered Nikon Capture 3 using the web, not realizing that Capture 4 would work with my D100. The next morning I began to wonder if I'd made a mistake. I called B&H and got a sales rep who filled me in, immediately cancelled my Capture 3 order and replaced it with an order for Capture 4. These guys are tops in my book. I've rarely, if ever, dealt with a company that has its act together the way B&H has. They're on top of their business and their people are knowledgeable and effective. A great place to shop. |

Ordered a GoVideo R6530 DVD recorder and B&H got it to me in two days. Had some problems with the unit and called them back. They had me return the original unit and they simultaneously sent me a replacement. Again, I received it in two days. Unfortunately, the second unit was faulty as well. Again, I called up B&H and they promptly gave me an RMA# and this time accepted it back for credit (I'm trying another brand of recorder now). Most of the reviews of vendors have to do with how fast they ship, which is, of course important. But perhaps equally important, or maybe even more important is their response to problems. I chose B&H based on the reviews I read here. They were not the lowest priced (but not far from it) but I was concerned about after-sale service. They did not let me down. The extra few bucks I paid for the product was money well spent. I would - will - buy from them again and would recommend them to anyone based on my experience so far.
