I regularly shop at www.avenue.com for career clothes. They have great designs that look nice for a decent cost.
What I love about Avenue is that they have a lot of fashions which specifically look good on plus-size ladies - no long, flowing housecoats, but tailored clothes that are a good length (not too long, not too short) and nice shape (lots of cardigans with none of that yucky ribbing along the bottom, for instance... who wants their butt cupped??).
The clothes are very fashion-savvy and tend toward the trendy side. I can go to their web site every couple of weeks and I know that I'll see not only new clothes that they've gotten in, but new ideas for whole outfits. When I started back to work a few months ago, I simply looked at some of their recommended outfits and bought all of the pieces of the outfits for a great look.
The pictures on the site are wonderful, and the verbiage describing the clothes are also great - they tell you the length of the clothes, what they're made of, and describe them well.
My main complaint with Avenue is that I prefer natural fibers (wool over acrylic, for instance) and that's not their thing.
But, I haven't been able to find a store like Avenue that sells great clothes AND natural fibers, so until then I'm sticking with Avenue.
Since I shop online exclusively, I also return items frequently, and have never had any issues ... I've gotten great service on all of my returns.
I also always seem to get compliments on my Avenue outfits, much more so than the other places I've bought.
