Two months ago - still haven't received item

My experience with Art.com has been extremely disappointing. The tapestry I recieved was half the size from the website description. I had sent it back immediately for a re-order. After two months since my initial order and over a month of the re-order, I still have not received the item. In my latest call to the customer service center, I was told that my order was mistakenly voided and the staff is working to correct the mistake. However, by this time, I have no confidence in the company.

Do not buy any large photography from Art.com.
I bought an oversized framed image and the image was blurry, looks like they just blew up a smaller picture are printed it on poster paper. Even if the picture had looked good the frame was a cheap plastic and would have been unacceptable. Then to top it off we had to pay shipping for the return which cost $72! If you buy from them, beware... |

THE WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE. I NEEDED THE ORDER WITHIN A WEEK, SO I PAID FOR THE 2 DAY SHIPPING. THE PRINT LEFT THEIR STORE ON 4TH BUSINESS DAY. (WEBSITE SAID "SHIPS WITHIN 24HOURS...) SO I CALLED THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE. VERY, VERY RUDE. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM http://www.ART.COM AGAIN!!!

very bad experience! ordered a Beatles poster August 1, 2008 for daughter's birthday 8/14 -- The Art.com website said it ships within 24 hours... went to tracking a few days later and learned it had not shipped yet but would in a few days... received an email August 9 which said:
the order had shipped August 9. Still hadn't arrived August 21 -- called up to learn it had probably been lost, and that it hadn't shipped until August 12. |

I placed an order with Art.com and used Paypal to pay. After two weeks I called to see where the order was progress wise and they told me that I hadn't payed the full amount. I advised them that their own site pre-populated the paypal site with the amounts owed. In any case, I was advised to either cancel the order and start over or simply make another paypal payment to make up the difference.
I made another Paypal payment and after a few days I had to call Art.com again because the payment hadn't been accepted yet. They did not know why but assured me it would be. I gave them two more weeks. It never was accepted and they would not return the amount already payed to them with paypal. Finally I had to start a claim with Paypal. Art.com never answered them and I was "awarded" my own money back. Their customer service is one of the worst I had to deal with in many years of e-shopping. Too bad. |

On 16 August 2007 we ordered five framed prints from the Art.com Website. We received four prints on time, and I have to say that I have seldom seen such cheap plastic framing materials except in a do it yourself supply store such as michaels. The fifth print had not shown up as of 20 September so I called and was told the original was damaged in shipment to them, so they had to reorder and it was on the way and would ship within 7 days. It is now 9 October, I called today and was told that it was in the shop and would ship within 3 days. I suspect that there is no shop, and that they are ordering these from China or some far off place. Customer service simply offers a "nothing I can do about it" attitude, although they have today offered a refund for the final item. Why they charged for something they never shipped is another point of contention indeed since that is most likely not even legal? Synopsis: Poor quality goods, poor delivery performance, never again.

Very unhappy experience - my purchase was ultimately cancelled because it never was shipped correctly and since time was of the essence,I could not wait for it to be reordered and reshipped. Could not track order after it was shipped as there was no DHL tracking number on my order, when I called about that, it was then that I was told there was a problem with my shipment and it would be necessary for me to re-order as they had no idea where my shipment was and they also could not track it.

it's an excellent website, however when I placed my order I was expecting all three to come at the same time. I didn't find out that one was not backordered, but needed to be printed still and that was why there was a delay in that, untill I called and asked about it. So I wouldn't have known. When they finally sent it, they did send it next day, but it was still much later than I had expected. It was the wrong size, but that wasn't all their fault. The third one had a white border which was included in the size. It ended up too small for my matte. So there was some difficulties with that order. I would still use Art.com again, but will be more careful with my questions.
