I have had a horrible experience with the Apple Store. My husband was buying QuickTime on February 19th, and somehow also ordered a $3200 monitor he swears he didn't add to the cart. In any event, as soon as we got the emailed confirmation that night, we called to cancel the order, but got no response as it was a weekend. We then called Monday morning, only to find out the package had been shipped and we would have to contact FedEx to have it intercepted and returned to Apple. We did that, and Apple received the package back (which had never reached our home) by March 1. Apple then told us they needed to inspect the package before they could issue a credit back to our credit card. Keep in mind that we never touched the package, their courier FedEx had the package in its possession from the date it was shipped until it was returned to Apple. However, they tell us it is their policy to take up to 10 business days to inspect the package and refund the credit card. Multiple calls later (and more than a month from the date we cancelled the order), they have confirmed the product was returned to them in fine condition but we STILL have not seen a credit back on our credit card. They have apologized for the terrible service, but have now run out of excuses and cannot explain why the credit has not been processed back to our credit card. I am about to give up on talking to Apple entirely and just send a notice of dispute to my credit card company, so Capital One will now have the pleasure of dealing with these idiots. Needless to say, Apple has now lost a customer.
